Although I didn't opt to eat at any local restaurants during my one night stay, there seem to be plenty of great options around when I looked online. My room had a refrigerator and microwave, so bringing a few items of your own is an option too. Definitely bring your own toiletries, such as body wash, toothpaste, and mouthwash. There are little packets of shampoo/conditioners and little bars of soap provided that may be enough for some, though. I didn't get a chance to really check out the area, but Tallwood, although not fancy, was fine for my stay and I'd probably stay there again.

It is an affordable basic accommodation. The bed is comfortable. Fridge, microwave, and bathroom - standing shower for one. A small patio. The train passes later or earlier in the morning. Free wifi. Constant hot water and an air conditioner. A good location to other areas. Pets are allowed with an extra fee.

Carmen was lovely. Unfortunately the walls were thin and i heard my neighbors talking. The lighting was confusing. The plug-in for my phone charger was wobbly I did very much appreciate the refrigerator and microwave.

I’ve stayed at Tallwood Motel many times and love it. I went this year with my grandchildren and son, my grandchildren love the pool. The staff is always helpful and friendly I will continue to stay there on my trips to Wells.

This hotel has been remodeled and looks clean and nice. However, there was a lot of noise from people in neighboring rooms that were loud. Other than that, the owner was kind and friendly. He gave me a great tip for breakfast.

Check in was easy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. After checking in, I pulled back the bedding to check the sheets (it’s a habit) and found that the fitted sheet was covered in hair and dirt. I asked for a new sheet and the office attendant moved us into the room next door. She was super helpful and genuine. Those sheets were clean. The floor, however, was filthy so my boyfriend and I walked around the room in our sandals. The hotel is very outdated and worn, with minimal amenities. It was fine for us because it was just for the weekend and we weren’t planning to stay inside much. Air conditioning worked, plenty of hot water and the mattress was old but comfortable. The price is too high, of course, but it’s competitive to the surrounding properties. The location is great, just down the road from the beach and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.
