Staff was good, directions to buildings could have been better and put on the property map as it is confusing. Room was very clean but in need of some updates: 1. bedroom wall under TV had a ton of scuff marks 2. Ceiling tiles in bathroom had water damage and could have been replaced 3. (1) wash cloth for (2) people for a (2) night stay (could have used a few more towels) 4. Could have used a box of tissues in the room and an extra bar of soap the soap was so small it barley lasted for hand washes and two people to shower for (2) days. 5. There was blood on the duvet which we did not notice till the morning we checked out and it wasn't from us. So that tells me the duvet was not washed. The Good: 1. Room was very clean 2. Jacuzzi was immaculate 3. The room was spacious The place is pretty close to everything you need and the resort has alot of amenities, I did not use them but it looks like a good family place.

I’ve stayed at Split Rock years ago and have visited a few times over the years, so I was hoping to see noticeable improvements — unfortunately, there haven’t been many. The resort advertises renovated rooms. I specifically asked guest services if our room was renovated and was told yes, about four years ago. Based on the condition, that was hard to believe. The doors had visible cracking at the bottom, and the heating barely worked. Our room was very cold, and maintenance had to bring two plug-in space heaters just to make it comfortable. One positive is that the room did include a small kitchenette with dishes and utensils, which was helpful. However, no dish soap was provided, making it difficult to actually use the dishes. The towels were also extremely small — not practical for grown adults. I do want to give credit to guest services, because they did something very kind for my son by putting balloons on our door, which made him feel special. It was a last-minute request, and I truly appreciated that gesture. We stayed in the Town Center section, where the movie theater and bowling alley are located. While it’s convenient to have those amenities on site, the overall area feels outdated and in need of upgrades. This really seems like a property with a lot of potential, but it hasn’t kept up with modern resort standards. The main reason we chose Split Rock was the water park, since it’s more affordable than Camelback, Kalahari, or Great Wolf Lodge. Unfortunately, seve

Amenities weren't all together , water slides were down in waterpark hot tub wasn't working in waterpark . Pool was very nasty jacuzzi in pool area gets didn't work . My room was 5813 tub was nasty has to call twice fir so one to come clean it upon arrival , there was a pocket knife found under bed which indicate the room wasn't cleaned properly . I left way before check out I paid deposit in cash they couldn't locate that I paid in cash manager then came from back and found cash in drawer because the safe was unlocking so someone put cash in a random drawer . Elevators were down . Galway smelled like smoke .

We did not get breakfast. We were need to believe our was included with our stay. You can only get coffee from 7-8 or 4-5 otherwise you have to not your own. There were supposed to be movies and noone was there, empty dark room no concessions. No outlet for phone right side of bed. Only decaf coffee in room with just 1 packet of sugar and 1 packet of powder creamer. Good for low budget family outing. Likely better on warmer months to take advantage of outdoor activities. However being the weekend right before Christmas I expected to see the Christmas lights all on and that was not the case. The facility overall definitely need some updates but overall was an okay stay

My stay here was amazing. I was surprised when I recieved a call from the resort prior to my stay to see if I had any questions. I was delighted with the low cost to stay there and even more delighted with the room. I was upgraded for free from the staff since there were extra rooms available and my room was clean and quiet. I went out of peak season and almost had the building to myself. The room was nice with a smart tv and comfy bed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and even had a dishwasher. I spent the day in Jim Thorpe and came to spend the night. The resort has a lot of things to do that I had no idea about like a bowling alley, arcade and movie theatre! I was surprised to see so much on the property. Be sure to ask for directions though, its a large property and can get confusing quick especially in the dark. My only complaint was that the sofa bed in our room was somewhat uncomfortable, its not a traditional pull out bed but rather some cushions that arrange to make a "bed." That being said a couch bed has never been the pinnacle of sleep comfort and that would not stop me from returning. I will definitely return, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room and attractions were nice and I and my group were very pleased. If you wish to visit I reccomend you call and do a little research as there are nice perks you might not see on the website and you may want to plan your excursion since the resort is a bit remote overall I highly recommend!

When we arrived, we were told the elevators were not working and remained out of service for the remainder of the weekend. We enter our room, the heating /cooling system is broken so no heat. Hair and dirt residue in the showers from previous occupants. Called the front desk to complain and the room phones were out of service. Turned on the television and the Wi-Fi was not working. Lights in the bedroom were not working. I went downstairs to the front desk and made a complaint. I asked to change rooms, and they agreed but I had to stay in that room for the night with my sisters until the next day. They bought us two electric heaters, and only one worked. I froze throughout the night. The next day they sent the maintenance guy to confirm the heating/cooling system was broken, and he confirmed it was broken. Finally get a new room the next day, which was Friday, and there were no washcloths or toilet paper. I called for those items and only toilet paper was delivered to the room. I called about the washcloths and they stated at the front desk, that they were all out because the hotel was at full capacity. So we had to wash ourselves with larger towels which are heavy when soaked with water and soap. Unbelievable! That same day I filed a complaint at the front desk for a refund just for the first night, and Kimberly the front desk manager stated I would get it and understood my complaint. I reached out after our weekend ended and I'm still waiting for my refund. So unfair.

The place is very affordable and clean. The staff is very professional. The one thing was that hot tub wasn’t so hot, the water was mild. The jets were not jetty, rather they were in the weak side. Otherwise, great place for the price.

The water park was extremely dirty. The slides were full of rust, the water itself looked brownish from the rust/ as soon as I realized it, I had to take the kids out. We weren’t able to enjoy. There were many little roaches roaming around the water park. The fridge in the room wasn’t working. The hotel/park didn’t offer gluten free food and they didn’t allow me to heat up my food either! First and last time there! Just terrible.

We had been to Split Rock several times before and enjoyed our stays. This time, we didn’t have a great experience. The elevator was broken, which led to us having to carry all of our belongings to the 3rd floor. As a couple in our 40s, with health issues, this was a difficult task, but not a deal breaker. We did have the longest walk possible to our room. Even though the elevator was broken, we were given the a room on the furthest corner away from the front of the building. It took us about 7 mins to get from our room to the front door to exit the building. We booked this property because we had great experiences in the past and enjoy the in-room hot tub. We ran the hot tub for over 30 mins and it never got to half full. The water pressure was absolutely awful. By the time we checked in at 30 mins, the water in the tub was like warm and the hot water coming from the tap had gone cool. We ended up leaving at 11:45pm on the same night we checked in. This was our first negative experience there so hopefully it was just a one off, because we normally really love Split Rock.
