Union Square winery accommodation

Great location. Hotel is old but ok. Staff was nice. Breakfast could be more than just pastries.

Downtown was very accessible

Everything was really clean. Everyone’s very nice. It’s just a great overall experience.

Great hotel with great character in a great location.

Unbeatable location at the heart of downtown SF. This property is on the older side but well-maintained and basic with great charm or character and history of San Francisco properties. It isn't refurbished or modern as some other similar hotels in the area are. Hence they do emphasize there is only fan in (most?) rooms which I had no problems with. The elevator and hallways are dated as part of the character of the property. There is a nice bar with happy hour in the lobby! It was overall worth the price I paid for (approx. $120) for a one-night stay in the city and not a luxurious splurge if you are after that, this won't be it.

The room was okay, though not particularly clean. The staff were friendly, but because the property is so large, they couldn’t always respond promptly. It’s a decent place to stay as long as you don’t have exceptionally high expectations.
