Fantastic stay. Safe, well-lit parking lot; friendly receptionist and hot coffee in lobby; room immaculate, smelled great, perfect temp; comfy bed and desk chair; all furnishings clean, stylish, and sturdy; excellent light-filtering and room darkening blinds; excellent shower amenities; decent view of fall trees; very quiet. (Coffee pods, small fridge also provided.) Will be my "go-to" when visiting family in the area.

When we got into our room we found that the drinking water from the bathroom sink and the shower was a deep color brown. Upon calling the front desk we were told to leave the water running until it came out clean. After leaving both facets running for "an hour and a half" the water did appear clear. Although the water appeared clear my wife and I would not drink the water. I would have thought that because we didn't have safe drinking water the hotel would send up water to our room so that we could take our medicines. The same night of the dirty water issue, the fire alarm went off at approximately 2:00 am in the morning and we had to evacuate the building until the fire department could investigate and make the building safe to re-occupy. I guess it safe to say that this visit was not very enjoyable for a Hilton Honors card holder.

Nice room, very good staff, great food in the lobby restaurant and great waitress. The only thing I complained about was the bathroom vent system. It was very noisy, so investigated the source of the noise and found there was an opening in the wall behind the metal manifold, which led to a vertical shaft. I assume there is one big fan at the bottom of the shaft, (which probably saves energy), but it was badly in need of a cleaning. The shaft was clogged with (who knows how many) years of accumulated dust and hair which had reduced the diameter of the vent hole in our wall. This reduction in the diameter probably caused the noise when the volume of air the system was designed to handle was forced through the smaller passage. I showed the front desk clerk a photo of the passage and he said he'd inform management.
