So disgusting. Hair in the bathroom wall (that smelled like urine) plugs didn’t work, air didn’t work,drapes wouldn’t close, carpet was filthy. They should not be allowed in the Expedia network.

Here are the good and the bad for this hotel: Good: 1. The location of the hotel is nice, it is right in the center of all the major attractions in the area. 2. The pool is a nice size and a good temperature for an indoor pool. 3. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room (also part of the bad). Bad: 1. The hotel is dirty, the carpet in the rooms looks 20+ years old and looks like a carpet cleaner has not been used in 5 years. 2. They are short handed on staff. They have specific towels for the pool area, but since there was only the front desk person they ran out of towels and there wasn't any other employees to wash and dry the towels. 3. We stayed for 5 days. At no time during our stay did staff come to check on the room (replace towels, replace the toilet paper, empty trash). 4. The bathroom door would not close unless it was forced really hard. It also is extremely small. Just enough room for a tub and a toilet. 5. There is water stains on the ceiling of the room and out in the pool area. 6. The mini-fridge has no freezer. 7. The room did not have an ice bucket to use with the ice machine. 8. The TV in the room, after 5 minutes or so, the sound and the picture don't match up. 9. The lamps are old and the outlets and the base have been used so much that they don't actually work when something is plugged into them.

Ok for the price.

Room was clean, bed very comfy, plenty of parking. Pool looked great, sauna was great. When we first opened the door to our room, it was very musty smelling, air was off. We turned air on, front desk clerk sprayed some air freshener and the musty smell went away. Breakfast was ok, but the gal keeping food stocked was more interested in her phone. Had to ask each morning for her to fill breakfast items that were very low or out.

Didn’t get our room cleaned until fourth day of our five day stay. Pretty much self service when it came to anything, towels, bedding, coffee. Large guy that ran the front desk was totally useless. Dirty room poorly maintained hotel. TV worked occasionally unless you wanted to watch it. Would I stay there again or recommend Sturgis Lodge and suite? Fat chance!

This place is a dump. I didn't expect a 5 star stay in Sturgis but this place is awful. Room was dirty, no remote for TV, chair that looked like it was garbage picked, bathroom was dirty, carpeting was nasty. The list goes on and on.

Terrible experience

It was by far the dirtiest worst kept Hotel I have ever stayed in. The attendant was the sloppiest, unkept and lest knowledgeable of the employees there. The breakfast was missing or eaten early every morning and never replaced, and the food service person sat a table and stared at her phone for 2 hours. The 2 biggest complaints was the fridge that held the yogurt and milk was at 53 degrees and the room fire alarm was non-functioning, as well as several others we tried. One evening as it was raining we were in the common area around the pool playing cards and an electrical conduit above our heads popped loudly and sparks shot out from water leaking into it and after telling the attendant(same as before) he came out, looked around, did nothing and went back to the front desk. We had a chair with a broken leg in our room and after telling the same attendant he said he would write it down, but left the broken chair for us to use. Neither the air conditioning nor heat worked in any of our rooms(3 couples) and the temp ranged from 48 to the 90's. We had to continually ask and remind the same attendant that we needed bath towels and he continually said they were available but he had to wait until later to get them for us. Overall, we will never ever use this facility again nor recommend it to others.

The beds were confront able but we were in a room by pool and the clorine smell was over whelming and the air unit was very loud and there was pound noise coming from wall my wife asked to be moved to another room and they had empty rooms but the desk clerk said he didn’t have the authority to put us in other room. The ground outside were very dirty with cigarette buts and cat food scattered on the deteriorating walk way and garbage can overflowing with trash, found a hair in my biscuit and gravy when doing there breakfest and not mine or my wifes

This property had much to be desired. The gentleman at the desk was as helpful as he could be. The 1st room - the exterior door wouldn't even close all the way/lock. When I called the front desk the manager asked if we tried closing the door hard - the answer was yes (but it wouldn't close all of the way). We had just walked in and just gently pushed the door and NOT requiring a key to enter the room. To accommodate our needs for safety and a locking door, we were given a second room - this room looked as though someone had already slept in the bed and a dirty towel was draped over a chair - when I tried to call the front desk, I realized the phone line had been cut. Third room - was given a suite. It was better than the other two (and we kept this room); however, overall feeling of cleanliness was lacking. The pool and hot tub were nice amenities to have access to. Lastly, a hot breakfast was advertised - we got there 30 minutes before breakfast ended. Biscuits & gravy had been served, but there was none left - no muffins - and a partial gallon of milk was available for cereals. Fresh made waffles were ok. Juice tasted like powdered orange juice and the apple juice was watered down. Coffee was decent.
