Awful

My family and I had the worst stay at the Mead. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. While we were there the elevators were down and we had to hike up and down four flights of stairs every time. My Uncle, who is almost 80, had to do this as well. Also, the fire alarm would go off for long stretches of time where it became unbearable. They also obviously have people living in the hotel. There were so many different cooking smells on the floor that we stayed that it was extremely unpleasant. The hotel is outdated and needs major renovations. Our toilet would constantly run and there was absolutely nowhere to unpack and put your clothes. When I tried talking to a manager I was given the run around. I’m still waiting to hear from someone and above all no one ever apologized or even offered to move our room. Completely unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

I liked the friendly smiles & attitude. Especially going out of way to rectify a bad situation by coming to the room. The room sink leaked on BR floor & shower had black mold on ceiling. Gale, overnight front desk, personally apologized & brought new keys to new room to the bad room. Several other employees had positive attitudes & smiles & it was infectious. Greatly appreciated!

The corner rooms in the main hotel are exceptionally nice. The one negative was that the bathroom drains were ... slow. Decent wifi and comfortable bed.

When we arrived, our room was extremely warm. The room also had a funky smell We tried blasting the A/C, but it didn't help cool it down, so they gave us a different room. The new room was also warm, but the fan helped somewhat. The pillows were very small and VERY firm. The bed also. Neither situation works for someone with neck and back issues. When we spoke to the staff, we felt like an inconvenience. Unlikely to stay here again.
