Checkin was fast but evening desk staff need to spend more time explaining to users that the buildings are separate in back and building (where rooms are) drops down in the back and it’s best to unload suitcases etc there. Parking is also around back of building( not explained to us). We had to learn this ourselves after taking carrier through area where fire pit and cobblestones were- very confusing and really hard to push on those stones.
We were dying to go in the hot tub but it was filthy and water was cold. Also seat cushions around outside fire pit need to be cleaned.
Inside our room, we found the refrigerator to be very loud. The rooms are spacious and they were clean but only one small window in entire area. The breakfast was the best part of our stay. The food was lovely, plentiful, and varied every day, and the kitchen staff were very hard workers, friendly and willing to help . The area was clean.
Our stay was great because they had everything we needed! Room was clean and newly renovated! The breakfast had a lot healthier food as well as country favorites!
We are still here and coming back for a second stay Sun nite. The room is lovely and big and everything works.( please clean crumbs up in cupboard where toaster is!!) Shower is so nice. We had a lot of trouble trying to figure out the best way to move our luggage, cooler, back pack etc etc to our unit on the 3rd floor. There is a map at the front desk. The room was pointed out to us on it, but after that we were still not clear where to go. There is really not a perfect unloading area and we needed the luggage rack. We went out of the checkin area on the paving stones with the carrier and had no idea where the elevator was. We went through the pool area and found a door at the back. That door let us in to an elevator and from there, we finally found our room in another building. We could not believe this would be expected of people staying here, esp seniors, so we brain stormed and we found out we could actually come in from an access on the other side on the floor below and there was another parking area that we were not told about. It made everything so much easier. We are so relieved we don’t have to take all our stuff through the pool area downstairs inside where the office is and out to the front where another parking area is
We arrived around 3:00 PM, but our room was only ready after 5:00 PM, and that was after we insisted several times. At breakfast, when we asked a young female server for a spoon, she replied rather impolitely, saying, “Can’t you see them yourself?” Overall, the service experience was disappointing.
