Was excited to stay at this property because someone recommended it. I felt the hotel is very dated and lots of moldy, musty area around the property. Our room had pretty linens but the room was moldy smelling. The vents were also very dirty. Didn’t realize all rooms are pet friendly so they smell. Maybe they should use something for pet or for between clients. Also, 80’s vibe with music if you love that.

We have a sentimental attachment to this hotel. We’ve stayed here off and on since the 1980’s when out kids were little and did activities there. Miles, the tennis pro gave lessons on the courts. The hotel still has that nice tropical pool layout with views of the Gulf. However, the property upkeep is not what it once was. The grass needed cutting while we were there. The maintenance of the landscape generally was lacking. There was trash on the grounds and see wall that stayed in the same places for a week. Housekeeping arrived late each day around 5 pm after we reminded the front desk we wanted a freshen up. We enjoy the entertainment in the Quarterdeck lounge each night. More in house advertising of the entertainment schedule might get more people to the bar. For example, we did not realize Clay Underwood was playing early shows on Friday and Saturday until it was too late. How about a schedule and posters?
