The location and staff were absolutely fantastic and truly the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the room we were assigned on a lower floor was extremely outdated and did not reflect the strong recommendations we had received. A friend who stayed just a few months ago had a great experience, but he was on a higher floor, which leads me to believe those rooms have been updated while others have not been touched in decades. Our room felt dark and impractical, especially the bathroom. There were no usable outlets for a hair dryer or styling tools, and no mirror outside the bathroom—something that is especially important for female guests. These issues made getting ready unnecessarily difficult. Given how wonderful the location and staff are, I strongly recommend a drastic makeover of the lower floors to bring them up to the standard guests expect. With renovations, this hotel could truly match its otherwise excellent reputation.

This hotel is close to the city and has good transport options. The breakfast is ok, but is very bland and you get sick of eating the same taste after a couple of days. Usually we book for a "Twin Room" for the 3 of us (2 Adults and our young son). This normally means at least 2 x Double or 2 x Queen beds. But this time it meant 2 x small Single Beds (for 3 of us!!!). This meant that our son had to literally sleep on the floor!!! So, my suggestion is that you improve the bedding descriptions (it shouldn't matter if it is on your website or on a third party site), EXACT bed descriptions should be given (and if the bed spaces don't match up with the number of people, you should say so... or contact the guest after it was booked).

Older but great hotel with very large ( by Singapore std ) rooms. Excellent staff. ( Got us early check in ).Great outdoor pool . Perfect location if using public transport. Adj to 3 MRT stations and a large mall. Many food options locally . Note : Beds and pillows are VERY hard, which we love but may not be to everyone's taste. Only complaint. Lighting for the bathroom mirror is very dim - hard for women to put see to put make up on. Putting on make up by torch light is not easy.
