Great Stay with a Few Design Drawbacks

Overall, I had a great experience—excellent service and a well-maintained hotel. However, there were a couple of drawbacks worth noting. First, the bathroom design isn’t fully separated from the main room. If you're sharing the space and someone is sleeping, turning on the bathroom lights or using the facilities can easily wake them. This setup isn’t ideal for guests with different schedules or for anyone needing to use the restroom during the night. Additionally, there are no self-service laundry facilities on-site. I was directed to the nearby Victoria Hotel, which does offer laundry machines, but the setup was less than ideal—the washer and dryer are located outdoors, under a shaded area. While functional, it wasn't the most comfortable or convenient arrangement. We did appreciate that the hotel allowed us to use their shower rooms before we went to the airport as we had to check out by noon and our flight did not depart till 9pm. That was definitely a very nice option! Hotel was close to Chinatown (about a mile) and an easy walk there and back with plenty of eateries and shops to peruse on the way there and back.

Had a 3 night stay here. The location of the hotel is really central and close to a couple of the mrt stations. It is also only a 5 minute walk to Raffles, for the compulsory Singapore Sling!! The room itself was spacious, clean, and had all of the essentials, such as a mini fridge. The staff were super helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we ever get back to beautiful Singapore.

Stayed here to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and this was a brilliant way to start the trip. Room was upgraded to a studio, which was amazing with views to match! Location was great and only a short walk to the bay! Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly. We had a coffee and cake at the patisserie and it was delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The Carlton Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Singapore. The rooms are clean and well designed, the beds are comfortable, and the hotel looks and smells nice. It is located in a convenient area with good access to buses and MRT lines. There are several malls nearby with good food and shopping options. I would certainly choose to stay there again.

Convenient and easy to locate with the tall raffles city building Staff were friendly enough but nothing really stood out Reception said they upgraded my room with my son but the room didn’t have a usb charger - that’s not really an upgrade is it ? My daughter’s room was on another level and had the necessary chargers but the corridor was extremely smelly . There was a big blow fan on which was very noisy and disturbing So my room with my son on level 14 ( which she said was an upgrade )didn’t have chargers My daughters room with her friend on level 22 had the smelliest damp corridor and a noisy blow fan Was my room really upgraded ? I doubted it and I wish they would tell the truth

The Carlton hotel is in an excellent position for first time visitors to Singapore. Walking is easy with Raffles hotel directly across the road with Raffles City and Chijmes adjacent. Everything is made easy by the terrific staff. The hotel facilities are great. The only thing is the pool area gets very little sun. It is not the cheapest but it is worth every $sd. Don't be afraid to ask nothing is to much trouble. We would definitely go back again.

Great location

It was a very comfortable stay. All staff members I met were professional and nice. Gym was well equipped and clean. Easy to picked up by Grab. Shopping mall and other eating were across the street. Huge library is also a few minutes walk. Great location!
