The accommodations in Room 6 are not as advertised, and well below expectation given advertised ratings. Upon opening the door to Room 6, the odor of cleaning chemicals was overwhelming. We turned on the bathroom fan and left the door open for an hour. It would be impossible for someone with asthma or allergies to stay there. The hot water is set at a scaldingly high, dangerous temperature. There were only two thin, mismatched, different colored, bleach-stained towels for two adults. The bed linens are thin and worn; and, the pillow case was pilled from use, so it was rough against my face. No Kleenex. We won’t be back.

The good: nice small town, large rooms, convenient to restaurant next door (they might have owned, very good food and BYOB if you wanted). The not so good: the ice machine room not very clean and had no scoop, the refrigerator needed defrosting and not so clean, toilet kept running, the faucet installed at the corner of sink looks good but not very practical (hard to keep water in sink when washing hands). All the not so good is to be helpful criticism.

Perfect location nestled next to a good restaurant. The rooms are spacious and clean. The front porch rocking chairs make it a charming place to hangout with friends and family. A nice place to get-away!

HH Creek Inn was super easy to check in. The room was clean and smelled great. The beds are so comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend staying there for my niece’s wedding! Definitely will be back for a weekend getaway.

Weird check in

Ok this is a great little spot. The room is gorgeous and clean as a whistle. The ONLY small hiccup is that you have to reserve a bit in advance (like 24 hours?) because they don’t have a front desk. They send you info on your room and how to get in, in a text. I didn’t get my text before I arrived and I was tired from driving and confused. HOWEVER, I called the host and they quickly fixed it and we were in our room in 15 minutes or less. So just know, don’t make a last minute reservation from the highway and expect someone to hand you a hey when you arrive.

HH is really charming. Nice roadside motel, Texas-style! Homey feel with rocking chairs on front porch by each room. Good home-cooking restaurant next door, and fun bar/restaurant in walking distance. Nice staff. Love, would stay again.

Bug-Me-Out

Upon check-in used the restroom and noted that there were cockroaches crawling around the sink and on the counter when I turned the light on to wash my hands. Notified the owner and sent pictures. Was offered a partial refund which was only around $10. I had to sleep with the lights on because I was afraid of bugs crawling on me. Spent a very restless night. I had to go to the Dollar Store and buy roach spray and spray the area myself. Not many options in such a small town, and this one used to be the nicest. The shower was not very clean or in the best condition, with the drain from the air conditioner in the room draining into the shower.
