Adorable gem!

Adorable room ~ over looking the locks with slanted sun roof windows ~ everything we needed nothing we didn’t! Great stop in a good location for breakfast and things to do!

This is an older hotel that shows its age. It was clean but the amenities give the feeling of being old and the hotel has had some shotty repairs completed in the past. Our biggest complaint was there was no ice available in the hotel.

This is a historic "downtown" hotel right across the street from the Sault Locks Park and visitor area. Parking is easily accessible. HOWEVER: much seems to have changed since COVID. First, there's no restaurant now, when you could get a dinner with a view at Freighters Restaurant -- but if you search the Internet, you'll find that it is permanently CLOSED. We asked about the Lounge: despite what the website says about "enjoy a drink" at the end of your day, the Lounge does NOT operate daily. The ice maker was out of order -- when I asked about ice at the front desk, I was told that I could go to a party store up the road for a bag. (!!!) And "complimentary breakfast" was the saddest collection of old fruit (one clearly rotting banana) that I've ever seen. The good news: LOTS of dining/cafe/bar options within a 2-minute walk. I would not stay here again. Too expensive and, frankly, a tad deceptive for amenities.

Awesome Hitel

A last minute stay after a car accident. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel is in the middle of all you want to see and do in the Soo. While it may look old on the outside, the inside is wonderfully updated. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, there are plenty of great places very close by.

Room temp was set at 50 when we arrived. No blankets on beds or in the room. Evening front desk staff informed us they had no clean blankets anywhere in the building. When e checked out we were informed they did have clean blankets—so either we were lied to or the staff is poorly trained. It’s a shame because the location and history of the building allow for it to have great potential. Breakfast was also the weakest of any hotel by Wyndham.

Very nice, historic hotel that is directly in the heart of downtown Soo and walking distance to everything. The rooms, at least the one I stayed in, needs a massive remodel. The bathroom was from the 80's. Bed and room were clean and staff was very friendly!

Great location. Good price. They had me sign in the day before online including sending them a copy of my DL, but then forced me to do it all again in person. The toilet was for a child. the tiles in the bathroom were broken. The place did not seem that clean. Marijuana smoke strong in the hall.

Meh

It definitely needs some updating. Worn out carpet, chipped tub, rusty fixtures. The beds only have a sheet and thin blanket, no comforters. One of the front desk clerks wasn’t friendly. She seemed like she’d rather not be in hospitality, so that put a damper on things. Lastly, they advertise as dog friendly yet you can’t leave your dog in the room unattended even if they’re crated. So going out to grab a bite to eat isn’t an option. They don’t have a restaurant or room service so we ended up leaving dog in car with it running and heat on while we got carry out. It wasn’t a terrible stay, just little annoyances. I wouldn’t stay here again though.
