Mold

The front desk person was great. Easy check in and when asked about local restaurants, she took the time to write down a few of her favorites. Unfortunately, that was the besr it got. Room was not horrible, but was in need of some updates and a good cleaning. The bathroom on the other hand was gross. Mold growing on several places in the shower and around the bathroom

Don't stay on the back side

They put us on the back side and there was a person living in a tent outside our room and it was a bunch of people that seemed to be on drugs so if you stay there I don't recommend staying on the back side of the hotel and we asked for non smoking room and got smoking

The room was in rather rough shape. The towels and bed linens were very nice and clean, but the toilet had troubles and started to back up, but never overflowed. Tv was nice. Had trouble with the door locking and the curtains did not block out the light in the morning. Place is getting old and looks it. Won’t be back.

Great place to stay, could use a tad bit of updating but it adds charm. Great friendly staff, I use to live in roanoke now Richmond, if I don’t stay with my parents I will be staying here.

The place has great potential and was probably very nice 30 years ago. It is getting run down and customer service is not great. Coffee maker out of order. OJ out of order. Shower head looked like it was going fall off. Everything about a century old. Breakfast very underwhelming. There is a sign “one yogurt only”! Come on!!

I generously gave it two stars only because it was clean and the mattress was decent. This is a 1960’s hotel, appears to be last updated in the 1980’s. Very old and worn looking. The breakfast was very disappointing, the only protein was scrambled eggs. I would not stay here again.
