Booking process and communication with host was excellent. The unit was convenient to two local breweries and a great taco place. The space was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not a big deal for me but could be for some - there are no windows in the bedroom, and therefore only one way in/out in an emergency - probably not unusual for a city dwelling, and the unit has fire suppression (sprinklers).

Overall, good stay

Location was convenient to downtown, about a 10-15 min walk to the downtown main area. Neighborhood is slightly sketch but not terrible. Host was very quick with communication. The only mishap was the sheets didn’t seem to have been cleaned upon our arrival, found hairs/stains that should have been washed out with proper wash. Host was able to resolve the issue for most part by providing access to clean sheets. Would probably stay again for the right price point. Overall was a good stay!

Awesome Property, Great Host

The property is easily walkable to all things downtown Roanoke, with street level access. The check-in process is super simple with good instructions. Free on-street parking that was no problem during our stay over Thanksgiving. The place is very cozy and has everything you need to feel at home. Steve is an excellent communicator, and very professional, would absolutely love to stay at his place again.

Great location for Breweries

We stayed here after dropping our son off at college. There are 3 great breweries just around the corner and an easy walk to the market area and restaurants. If we come back to Roanoke we will definitely stay here and rent bikes to check out the greenway trails

Great weekend getaway

Really enjoyed our short stay. The property was spacious, very clean and well-maintained. Just a roughly 10-minute walk on clean streets to the center market area and adjunct points of interest such as transportation and Art museums. Some raucous street noise from Campbell when you're in the living room/kitchen, but blessedly quiet and dark in the bedroom. Roku TV offers lots of viewing options. Our host, Steve, was generally responsive, and coded access to the building was much appreciated. Overall, a great experience; highly recommended. Recommendations include Center Market, Black Dog Salvage, Grandin Theatre and Mill Mountain park.

Everything was spectacular! First time using VRBO to stay when visiting home. We will never go back to an over priced hotel again. The host was responsive and all the instructions were clear. Overall experience was a two thumbs up!

Just Right

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment had everything we needed and was in a great location. It was an easy walk to restaurants, museums, and shops in downtown Roanoke. We were visiting family, and it was nice to be centrally located, so it was a short drive to visit everyone in town. I would definitely consider booking it again.

Affordable space in/near downtown

The listing is accurate. We stayed 3 nights. We were able to park on the street out front within 1 block. I can tell at some times, on-street near parking can be a challenge. But the listing lists other places to park nearby. Plenty of room inside, especially for two people. Everything seems fairly new and in good condition. I would stay there again. Two nice breweries behind the unit, and a couple of restaurants within two blocks. Since it is on a busy street, you can get a little road noise during the week. Overall a very good value.

What a gem!

We had a wonderful stay at this downtown gem. The location is a five minute walk to all the Roanoke museums, and a host of restaurants are within ten minutes. Parking was easy. The kitchen was incredibly stocked and easy to use. And as a plus, our hosts recommended a couple of local hikes that we absolutely adored, which was above and beyond. We’ll be back the next time we are in the area!

Amazing location -Perfect getaway

This place is just great. It is just as described. Other noteworthy info - the bed is comfy, snacks and coffee/tea in the kitchen are nice touches. Roof top is pretty cool. Stephen is a wonderful, responsive host. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect Place for Two

This first floor apartment was absolutely perfect for my wife and I during a recent hiking trip to the Roanoke area. Close to the trailhead for Tinker Cliffs and even closer to several breweries made this the perfect location when making arrangements. Beth’s timely communication about parking, accessing the apartment, and local restaurants was clear, concise, and accurate. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, wifi, large shower, and good water pressure covered the basics and little extras like snacks and coffee were appreciated. We’ll be staying here again when we return to Roanoke!
