Overall, it was just fine. My Father's birthplace, and we go to visit family. It is always a pleasant stay and we go every year.

Great hotel! Very nice and clean very good breakfast I’m a diabetic so I appreciated the wages and sausage but our mini fridge did not work, told person at desk but not fixed even when we left Sunday!

POOR VENTILATION

Upon entering the Hampton Inn in Newberry SC, these was a strong musky odor. When I arrived at the hotel 5 minutes before check-in, I was told by the customer service representative that my room was not ready yet. When I checked into my room, the musky odor was even worse. I would not recommend this hotel until it gets better ventilation.

Desk Clerk is not friendly. Our first room smelled like dog, when we went downstairs to complain she said, ""we don't allow dogs." We later saw a sign saying pets permitted. Those rooms should be segregated. Many have allergies. Smoking seemed also to be prevalent here. There were several people smoking and vaping right at the lobby doors where I had to hold my breath. I asked the desk clerk what foods were served at breakfast. She said, "breakfast food."
