The Cottontree Inn is a wonderful motel. Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I’ll return the next time my business takes me to Rawlins.

Terrible hotel. Old and not renovated. The couch in our room looked like it was from 1990 with stains and all. I wish I took a photo of it to post here! The bed box spring looked like it was 20 years old and sounded like it too. Worst hotel we have stayed in. Don’t charge $200 a night for a hotel where you are afraid to take your shoes off. I did not want a room that had an outside door in the room. The front desk told me it did not and of course it did have an outside door which did not feel safe. If you want a hotel room that is dirty and looks like no renovations have been done stay at this hotel if not continue driving and don’t stop here. I was entitled to a refund for this room!

The staff with whom we interacted were all pleasant, polite and anxious to be helpful. However, this was, hands down, the dirtiest hotel in which we have ever stayed! It appeared that the first room to which we were assigned had only been partially cleaned. The wastebaskets had been emptied and the beds were made, however, there was a half-eaten loaf of bread on top of a chest of drawers and uneaten- and partially-eaten food in the fridge. BUT the worse thing was two pairs of men's underwear (which had been worn) on the counter in the bathroom! The second room was sort of OK. The beds had been made and the sheets were clean but the upholstered chair and carpet were filthy! MY husband never bothers to wear slippers when traveling and staying in hotels. He kept his sandals on here. The carpets in the public areas were, perhaps, the dirtiest I have ever seen anywhere. They were so grimy all you could see was the dirt -- you couldn't see the pattern. I understand they were having problems finding and keeping housekeeping staff. I'm sure both guest numbers and staffing are problems in such a small and isolated location but the level of neglect to upkeep in both public and private areas along with basic cleanliness was shocking! We have traveled to all 50 states and 34 countries and never seen anything like this before.

Lame stay!

Old and run down. Our door was open when we arrived. It was difficult to close and lock. Not enough hot water for a short shower! We checked out a day early. The desk just gave a lane "sorry, I'll tell maintenence'.

My biggest complaint for this property is the lack of windows. The dining area and breakfast area are super dark with no natural light. The rooms have hallway windows instead of exterior windows, so you don’t want to keep the curtains open for obvious privacy reasons. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean but outdated. A renovation would do this hotel wonders. Overall not a bad stay.

The room is nice, I like the layout. But the cleanliness could be way better for what im paying. Definitely can hear cars passing by throut the night. Other than that cant hear neighbors or anything else. The furniture looked outdated and is visibly dirty. I personally would not stay here again
