A great place to stay. A very nice mix of homey comfort and a quiet hotel room. The hot breakfast was cooked to order and tasted amazing.

"Nice new hotel"
Close to airport. Pity the taxi was most unhappy to take our fare such a short distance even though we were advised prior to travel there was an arrangement with green cabs! Shopping and regular bus service to Frankton bus hub and town within easy walking distance.

"Handy location in busy Queenstown"
While there is a short hill to descend or climb from the shops this hotel has an excellent and friendly hourly shuttle which is free. Didn't have a view to the wonderful scenery but could look down into a very attractive garden.

"Nice hotel,shame about the hill"
Overall the hotel was ok, some of the house keeping was very average things like not stocking our fridge and hovering the room daily really let the place down.

"Excellent hotel "
This hotel is extremely comfortable, affordable and within range of plenty of activities in Queenstown. The rooms were spotless and well organised. Great layout. Cons - a little far out of Queenstown but they do have a shuttle and water ferry for use at all times. 6 restaurants on site make it easy for all your meals and staff are exceptional!!

Didnt realise we were just booking the additional bedroom for a larger appartment which wasnt being used. Had to ask for the interconnecting door into the larger appartment to be locked and asked twice for a hairdryer with wires hanging out to be changed, which never happened.

    History

Queenstown was so named because its beautiful scenery was seen as "fit for Queen Victoria". After European settlers arrived, Queenstown became a gold mining town in the 1860s. However, in more recent history, the city has become famous for its extreme sports scene, with the world's first ever commercial bungy jump taking place in Queenstown in 1988.

    Things to do

drenalin junkies can choose from activities like bungy jumping, jet boating, white-water rafting, river surfing and canyon swinging. But don't worry if you’re not quite ready to face your fears, there’s still heaps to do in Queenstown that doesn’t involve breaking a nail.

Snow bunnies will love travelling here between June and October because the ski fields offer some epic slope action. However, if you're not able to make it during the snow season, you can take a stroll along the shores of Lake Wakatipu any time of year. With crystal clear lakes and the mountains as a backdrop, the sight doesn’t get much better than this.

    Shopping and Dining

Shopaholics will adore the international and local designs in Queenstown. So why not keep yourself warm with a souvenir or two and invest in some sheepskin clothing? After a long day of shopping there’s no better way to unwind than a bite to eat and Queenstown tops the scales. With superb food and wines to indulge in, you’ll be ordering seconds everywhere you go! Before returning to your hotel, pop into a bar or two, and get acquainted with the real buzz of this vibrant town.
