The Inn is a beautifully upgraded and maintained vintage lodge that has retained much if its historic character. We did not have the opportunity to dine here, but a local friend tells us the restaurant is excellent.

Charming, beautiful historic buildings, surroundings, and rooms. Loved having an upper balcony to sit outside. I learned, on our last day, of a pond and hiking path across the road but wish staff had made this known so i could have utilized the trail more. The tavern was a wonderful place to relax and spend time reading etc. One night there was live music, a nice surprise. The breakfasts were very tasty with lots of choices.

Our first time in Vermont and we are certain we could not have found a better place to stay. The Inn was better than described and even more beautiful in person. The room and bed where extremely comfortable. The breakfast was so good, some of the best scrambled egg I have ever had. When we are back in that area we will stay again. If you are looking for New England charm this is the place!

Quaint and Friendly

Quaint New England Inn with all the expected charm. The staff was super friendly and the included breakfast the next morning was just what we needed. Would definitely consider staying again on a future trip.

We stayed here before with no issues. So disappointed upon this visit. The basics of being able to easily open and close your room door was a struggle. The door lock did not work well which concerned me. I heard others complain also. The guy at the front desk had the same answer for all, nothing wrong here, you just have to turn it back and forth. Final and even worse is the poor plumbing drainage. Nothing worse than standing in 7 inches of water while showering. The inn needs some maintenace, unfortunate because it is a pretty place!

Lovely Bed & Breakfast with the vintage atmosphere you would expect for a 1700's era property. However was very disappointed that the tavern & dining were closed due to a wedding during our stay. It is unfortunate that we were not notified at any time between our booking or even at the front desk when we checked in.

The Inn is a lovely place for a weekend get away. My only negative is we booked because it had a restaurant and bar so we wouldn't have to venture out. When we arrived we were told those areas were closed because of a wedding. There are some nice places near by to eat but when we came back there was no parking available because it was taken up by wedding guests. A little notice of this would have been nice, when we asked we were told they didn't have our info because we booked through Expedia even though we had received a message from the Inn the day before and got one to place this review.
