My family of four stayed at this location for 13 nights in August. I will start with this, read every single line of the listing carefully, because that is what you are getting. There is no AC, which has been the case for many of our trips to Kauai and other islands. Even with the breeze on several days, not having AC had a significant impact on our relaxation. When we arrived, all the windows were closed and it was sweltering inside the place, and it did not cool down until morning. The sun shines in early, so it heats up fast. The place was mostly clean, but the fridge next to the stove top was full of grease. The kitchen also had tiny ants that frequently showed up on the counters, despite not leaving food out. The carpets throughout the main level were dirty and left your feet feeling gross. The main level shower door did not keep the water in, so be sure to put a town outside on the floor when using it. The internet did not work at all for the first several days of our trip. The folks were quick to help get us a nearby signal to use, and finally had the service provider replace all the equipment after trying many different things.On a brighter note, the ocean views were even better than they look from the photos. The pool was nice, clean, and was often just us using it. Unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance for three days in a row.
