Missed the Mark

Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience at this Best Western. First, I was surprised that the pet fee increased to $40. Many other hotels charge less. Second, the hotel experienced some sort of disaster that wasn’t mentioned, but there were fans everywhere and the ac was turned off in all common areas. Last, the breakfast was missing bowls, napkins, and fresh fruit. We pass through Port Huron every year, but we will look to stay somewhere else next time.

Rundown hotel that’s getting something of a facelift. Parking lot is a crumbled blacktop mess. Elevator will not crash despite the noise it makes. Room was quiet and had necessities. Breakfast was great. Plenty to choose from and good food.

No sleep at all

Horrible. The “river” view is a drainage ditch that you can’t see from the overgrown bushes and trees. Kids above us running the halls at 4am, it sounded like bowling balls. I got the worst night of sleep I’ve ever had. People drinking and playing corn hole in the parking lot, as well as smoking pot out the emergency doors and leaving joints and joint tubes all over the premises. No one cared when we called the front desk at 6:30am as it was still happening. We packed up and left right away. All I got was an I’m sorry ma’am.

We like the location. We didn't like that the room we were given had the smoke detector going off every 2 minutes and rather than the front desk coming up and giving us another room, we had to drag all of our luggage back downstairs to get new key. We were given the very next room to the noisy room and while it wasnt terrible we could here the smoke alarm still all night. The front desk said they knew there was a problem but werent sure where it was and thought they needed batteries.
