The staff, the food, the resort itself - all perfect. We came back to Wyndham after almost 10 years and it’s just as magic as the first time. They run a great experience and we always recommend them to anyone in Playa.

Beautiful resort. Great location. Food was pretty good. Staff is friendly. I love a resort with a swim up bar. Disappointed in this one. Location of swim up barely has any sun and pool so cold it’s unusable. We did go up to that bar daily as the bartender Aldoberto was awesome . Even got my husband to try sushi and it was delicious ! One issue was I was having a hard time contracting my transport service. I asked front desk for help. They said the couldn’t help. Come to find out, when I checked out and waiting for my ride, the gentleman at the front said give it 5 more minutes then he will call BDX for me. Why wouldn’t someone at the front desk tell me to talk to one of those gentleman out front? Instead I spent several frustrating hours try to get in touch with BDX when someone there could have helped me all along?

The rooms were tiny, I’m probably most disappointing that their elevator only goes to the third floor so any rooms above that you have to go up several flights of stairs. They put us on the fifth floor! All amenities close early. The hot tub is only open from 10 AM to 5 PM. The pools close at eight. The hot tub also sits at the very highest point of the building, so not only does the elevator stop at the third floor, you have to climb up to the seventh floor to get to the hot tub. The jets were broken in the hot tub, and it was more like warm bath water. It certainly was not hot. Of the five restaurants, only one of them was decent, and that was the Italian place. The buffet is disgusting, and the food was cold. The nighttime entertainment is very lackluster, they had a fire dancer, one evening, and another evening, a DJ. Each performer does possibly a one hour show. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this hotel

The food was delicious! The entertainment was nightly and engaging! The staff was very friendly. Overall this place was very nice and had shops within walking distance. The only reason I’m not giving this a 5 star rating is because there isn’t a full beach access that you can lay out on daily. The property is on a waterfront, but there isn’t a beach, lots of fishing boats tho. Another thing is there aren’t any drawers/ storage is the bedrooms.
