The previous person that stayed in my room had urinated in the bed and it was not properly cleaned so we had to change rooms but overall a good place to stay.
I would not stay there ever again, we didn't like the room and want to get out of our reservation and they told us we would lose a night. we stay the one but was not happy with it. the bed was lumpy and the pillows were flat.
Average property… a bit run down, and certainly not clean. Room cleaning other than trash and towels is only once every three days- that surprised us. No big problem, just the first time I’ve stayed at a hotel that didn’t do the sink and make beds daily. Breakfast was pretty basic, nothing great. But in such a tourist heavy area this property was a good value.
Keep in mind: the 5 star review is based on this being a “value property”— it’s a basic hotel with basic rooms.
We appreciated the clean room and bathroom; the bed was reasonably comfortable but not plush. Bath towels were relatively new (soft, very clean).
The two things that set this property apart are:
1. The indoor pool that is actually warm - it’s very popular so expect it to be busy like a public pool.
2. The picnic pavilion and paved areas with grills by the river. Really pleasant setting and super helpful for us, as we have small children and in-restaurant dining is not always fun.

The area was convenient and seemed safe. The hotel itself needs upgrading for decor and structure. It looked very run down on the inside. Dining area for breakfast is small for the amount of people staying there. The breakfast was pretty basic, not a lot to choose from, and was the same offerings every day. The housekeeping staff seemed friendly enough. The rest of the staff was rather rude and unfriendly. They seemed like we were bothering them if we had a question or to check out at the end of the stay. Overall, the experience was fine. We felt safe and were able to sleep (pillows and bed were very uncomfortable!), shower and dress as we were in town for fun/vacation. It was worth the price, but again we weren’t really impressed.
we enjoyed the stay and location; we had a daughter in a wheel chair; the access to the breakfast buffet was poor. we had to go down a steep walkway through the pool area. the bathroom fan did not work. there was no clock in room. the area with table and chairs was very tight to get to the table.
Stayed for 3 nights with my husband and our young son. The hotel was clean, breakfast was hot and had a great variety, and the pool and hot tub were wonderful! We stay in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area at least twice a year and have found a new favorite spot! We already booked another trip in June for us and the rest of our family at the Econo Lodge!
