I did not have a good experience staying at the Country Inn in Pierre, SD. The hotel was not very clean at all. The hotel is not in compliance with residential fire code, as smoke alarms were missing in the hallway and in the room. There was a terrible smell of Indian food that was coming from another room from across the hallway. The shower was dirty, the vent fan in the bathroom was dirty, the thermostat on the wall did not work, shower door did not close properly, bathroom door did not close properly, the A/C unit did not work properly and was loud, the walls are “paper thin” I could hear the traffic all night. The elevator was dirty, the front door was dirty. Not a very good impression. I would not recommend staying at that hotel.

The areas where dogs are supposed to relieve themselves was overgrown weeds, contained garbage and not well lit. Shower did not drain and getting was confusing piped wrong. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The breakfast was not good. Theo things of coffee had tons of grounds in it. The drink machine had mold on it. Discussing !!

This property provided a comfortable bed for one night stay. It was within walking distance of several restaurants. The immediate area around the hotel was all concrete with no landscaping which I think could have been done better.

Booked a king room, they must have given it away before I arrived and they only had double bed rooms left. First time that has ever happened to me. Staff said that just because I reserved and paid for a king room I wasn’t guaranteed to get it… The hotel was decent, looked to have been remodeled recently, but not anything overly fancy. Their air conditioners weren’t great in either room I stayed in and forget about getting dry with the towels after a shower. For whatever reason, though they felt decent, they just wouldn’t dry anything.

Tired building, good bef

The auto opener on the front door didn’t work. The clerk had come and open it. Service from desk staff was adequate, but not warm and welcoming. The room was large and capacious, excellent bed. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was well-stocked. The building and grounds could use some maintenance and repair. For the price in today’s economics, it was satisfactory, but nothing to write home about.
