Our family stays here every year & we love it! The staff is always nice & we love the pool & Tiki bar. I wish this hotel had elevators, that is literally the only negative part. We will definitely be staying here again though.

The septic was backing up through the sink and it smelled of mold. The shower leaked and flooded the space outside on the floor Everytime you took a shower. The floors left your feet black and the showers and sinks wouldn't drain. There was no soap or waste baskets. Couldn't stay in the room with the smell and the water and septic backing up. They said they would get back to us and never did. Very terrible experience.

great location and love the central pool. had a great stay, the only issue was a inconvenience with the auto pay system. it auto drafted an additional $200 from my account even though i booked and paid online through hotels.com. talked to the manager and he assured me it would correct itself in a few day, and it did. management was super friendly and very helpful. would definitely stay there again in the future.

The hotel was a nice family spot to stay. We do suggest that the bathroom beside the pool be cleaned more than once a day and installing a fan or ventilation system. The pool bathroom was very dirty and extremely hot. Also, having a regular ice machine would be great. The only ice option they had was a 14 lb bag that mostly wasted because we didnt need that much. Also, the ac unit was leaking all over the balacony. Overall, we would stay there again but think these few suggestions would make an even better stay!

The room was dirty. The floor was covered in sand when we entered. The shower rod was broken. Low water pressure. The room smelled of urine and rotting vegetation. The pool was dirty and the water was hot. The restroom at the pool smelled horrible and the interior light did not work. The entire facility was dirty and poorly maintained. The property and grounds were unkept and filthy. Was charged an undisclosed “resort fee” at check-in after paying the full room amount online at Expedia. No elevator. All stairs. Very noisy. Poor customer service. They refused to provide a receipt at checkout. Definitely not worth the stay. Avoid this hotel. We were very disappointed.

Reserved a beachfront kitchen room and when I checked in they put me in a room with a mini fridge and a microwave with not even a view of the beach. Shower didn’t work half the lights didn’t work. Will not be going there again. I was eventually moved to a beachfront, kitchen room but, this room was also very dated. Online pics were very deceiving

Paid extra for 2 queens with walk out. Were booked up and dis not have any. Did not have any 2 queen beds. Only had 1 queen bed. Need refund.

This property was on the beach and the two staff that were on duty when I checked out were phenomenal! However, there were roaches in our room, the sheets were dirty and when we requested new sheets at check-in they were dropped off instead of being changed by staff. The staff that checked us in charged us over $900 for a 2 night stay! This was rectified by the amazing staff upon our departure. The Expedia ad says that loungers and umbrellas are included on the beach and the cabana’s are an extra charge but this is false. All of the items on the beach are an additional charge, thankfully, we had our own tent and chairs. Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at a By the Sea Resort or Hotel again.
