Verify late check out option at check-in
Hotels website & Sheraton Erie website gave the option in a package to have a 2 hour FREE late check out. This is the option that we selected to make out reservation. I should have mentioned this at check-in , however a tour bus was also checking in making for a busy & a lengthy check-in line. Check-in staff was kind but it waws obvious they were a bit overwhelmed. I called to the front desk later to inquire about the time of late check out explaining this was what was offered. Devin was unaware of any late check out option from either Hotels website or Sheraton website and would only honor this if we showed him where this was written - so we did. He was still reluctant to honor this, stating " as a 1x courtesy I'll honor the 2 hour late check out, it's normally $20 / hour" We understand that verification was needed being that he was unaware of late check out as an option with our booking. What we don't understand was the annoyance and perturbed tone he took - this was shocking, especially when he was incorrect & misinformed. As if he was doing us a favor to honor what is clearly written on both websites. Poorly handled.
Hotel was very nice, updated, and clean.
