We are a family of six and we felt very welcome to be ourselves. The host, Melissa, was friendly, helpful, relaxed and a pleasure to have met. She kindly gave us an extra supply of breakfast knowing we had four boys who likely eat a lot. The building is very well situated and close to beautiful parks, ...

Travel is always a fabulous idea, so pack your belongings, kiss your mum goodbye and check out the exciting city of Auckland. If you’re wondering where to base yourself, consider Northcote. It's located 5 kilometres north of this city’s downtown area.
Sure, you could spend your whole holiday doing nothing but sitting back with your feet up and a bevvy in hand, but you'd be seriously missing out. Auckland boasts a few iconic sights, like Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, the University of Auckland and Mt. Eden Domain. Don't skip them!
If you're planning an excusion to Auckland University of Technology, it's worth checking to see if there are tours scheduled. After a big day exploring, take a load off at a seriously comfy hotel nearby. The Spencer on Byron Hotel and VR Takapuna are the pick of the bunch. Participate in a genuinely local experience with the entire family at Birkenhead Artisan Market. The Poenamo Hotel and Ocean Inn Motel are some of the top-rated accommodation options to inquire about near here.
Just been jolted awake by the alarm? Getting ready for a humongous day out with your mates but hanging out for a caffeine fix first? Don't stress. You'll be able to grab a coffee (and maybe a cheeky snack as well) nearby at Newtique Boutique. Trust us, you'll need something substantial to pig out on after all that sightseeing. Luckily, Aitos Lunchbar has a delicious menu which will really put a lining on your tummy! You could be sensible and go back to the hotel, but why on earth would you? You're on holiday, right? In any case, there's a pint with your name on it at Cool Bar!
So, now you're ready to book your ideal Northcote getaway, stuff your bags and start making those #FearlessTraveller experiences!
