Carpets are very old and dirty . Steps leading to rooms not cleaned regularly. Staff leave vacuum clearer and laundry supplies outside the rooms even after cleaning rooms
The house keeping staff were absolutely wonderful. Some staff at reception may need some more training when it comes to assisting guests. All thr staff at the restaurants & room service was really kind & polite.
The beds were comfortable the staff were always there if you needed. 1 example is my husband forgot his meds in the room frdge. We came back and they had it ready for us. Mngmt. Might not be aware but when the key card isn't in the slot in the room the refrigerator is off. As soon as we opened the door water poured out, because it had completely defrosted.

Drain was blocked in shower and upon calling reception, no one came to repair it. Also it became a mission to find our booking at the hotel eventhough we provided our reference and booking number. A simple error like putting first name and last name from the receptions end had us wait for almost an hour .. we had to even explain to the lady at the counter to switch surname and 1st name to check but still it seems she was struggling with english. Had bad experience however we liked the lobby of the hotel and bed in our room. Cant complain about the location also. Please update your service desk and maintenance team

The hotel is borderline 4 stars. If valuated as a 3.5 stars, it is very good. It is also very family and children friendly. Business travellers may consider quieter options closer to CBD. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The exercise room was well equipped but noisy due to adjacent pool fillled with playful children; definitely not adult swim friendly. Reception and concierge were friendly and helpful, though the check in process was overly extensive resulting in long queues. The breakfast had a good variety and the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Recommended for families with children.
We upgraded to club floor which included breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was very lovely with comfortable bed. Easy to walk around city and very safe. Took one star off for check in . I emailed hotel twice letting them know i was coming early and what needed to be done. Happy to pay extra. Told they would make note but no guarantee. When arrived was told room not ready . Left and came back few hours later and was told guest had not even checked out even though it was hours past check out and they paid for late check out. I was very upset that they were allowed late check out when guest were waiting and was not told . She said you should have paid for early check in. I explained it was never offered in my two emails. (She was able to get us a room a few hours later which was earlier than check in which we appreciated but what a hassle. )

Good hotel in a nice area. Walkable to the sky tower, harbor, queens street etc. The only issue is that there is zero flexibility around check in time - which is 3pm and far too late for someone arriving from the U.S. which has flights landing at very early hours.
