When we arrive no one at the front desk after 10 mins a lady came and check in us then went to the room room key did not work had to go back to the front the lady was checking in other guest she came with the master key and lets us in the room she said she will come with a new key so I go to take a shower let the shower run for 10 mins no hot water so I pack everything up and when back to the front desk she said I just made you a new key I told her there was no hot water so she give me a new room with was downgrade from the 1st room she explain that cause we are the other side of the building it takes time to get there to get faster to run hot water from the sink the shower and jacuzzi water the next morning go to my car come back to the room key did not had to get a key the same lady was still there from the night before she definitely needs someone else to help her that hotel is to busy when a event is going on at Foxwoods would never stay here again

It was okay. Clean, no frills room. No safe in room. Didnt explain any hotel amenities or give us 2 keys upon checkin. Free breakfast very limited. People yelling and arguing in middle of night outside our room and also people running up and down loudly in outside corridor at 3 am. Not the fault of the hotel tho. Not a fan of outside entrance rooms but overall an ok experience.

Came back from casino and property manager was arguing with someone outside lobby. One woman slapped another woman and the customers finally left. Not a pleasant view for my first stay. Bed was fine, but bathroom supplies (soap, towels, etc.) very skimpy. Soap so thin it doesn't last for one shower.

If zero stars was an option, I would have selected that. The man at the front desk should not be working in the hospitality industry. I have been staying at the Hilltop for over 14 years. It's a comfortable and inexpensive option near Foxwoods; however, after my experience this morning, I will not be returning. We were packing to head out and had our room door open when a male staff member came out of no where and appeared outside the open door, startling me, to ask me if my husband was just smoking outside. No greeting, no "excuse me," no politness - just an abrupt and direct question. I quickly replied, "no, he doesn’t smoke," which is true. I thought the encounter was strange to say the least. I proceeded to continue packing then grabbed my bag and exited the room to check-out. I went to the front desk and the same male staff member was there. I turned in the room keys and said, "I'm checking out" to which he replied "You're all set." My boyfriend and I left and thought nothing more of the odd encounter until I checked my online bank account a couple of hours later. I was charged an additional $50. I called to inquire about the charge and was told by this same man, "you lied to me this morning when I asked you if your husband was smoking. I saw it on the camera." I tried to ask a couple of questions, one of them was for his manager's name. He hung up on me. I called back and got the same response. He would not provide the manager's name or contact information.

Front desk said the property was not able to accommodate room request. Looking around later the property was half empty. Ran CC without us checking in. Overall very rude not suitable for customer service. Wouldn’t recommend this property!!!!
