Book North Central San Diego hotels

This place was pretty basic, nothing outstanding. It served its needs. Coffee in the room sucked, the little machine is a joke, coffee ends up tasting watered down. What kind of hotel doesn't offer free coffee in the lobby? The staff doesn't communicate with one another if there is a change in the room status, we almost had to move rooms because of a miscommunication or lack there of in the change. Plus, the young lady was very rude about the situation until she realized she was wrong. My biggest complaint is the charge for the parking, what a joke!!! $28 a night for a lot they don't even monitor or even a space that might not even be available.

I had only one problem. I blame the front desk. I was put on a floor for two nights with young kids all on my floor. I was awakened both days at 6 am. All heard was room doors opening and slamming shut. I heard the kids adult supervisor knocking on almost every door on the floor, saying what I thought was security. I thought we were being evacuated. We weren't I figured out she was telling these kids to go get on the bus. Why would the front desk put me on such a floor??? The hotel was not busy and I stay there a lot. My stay certainly was not restful. I had to go home to get sleep. Their needed to be more common sense from the front desk person. All I have to say is come on man or woman in this case. Might have to look for a different hotel. Staff at Postcards are great!

This property was centrally located to many attractiions and easy to find an uber. The view from the bay side was beautiful and enjoyed sitting on the balcony. I interacted with the staff to correct an issue and the staff was very understanding and willing to help. I would stay at this property again.

It's a beautiful place, but honestly, it stressed me out to be there. I had an issue (explained below), and no one could help - saying that because I made my reservation through hotels.com, my reservation was locked and they couldn't touch it -- but then hotels.com just gives the chatbot that doesn't help. It felt like no one was taking ACCOUNTABILITY for the needs of their guests who are paying a small fortune to be there... So, here was the issue: I wanted to make a last-minute room UPGRADE and add an extra night (ok, so last-minute change is on me)... but they refused to credit my original room against the new upgraded room!!! (In other words they still charged me for the room I didn't use, along with the higher priced room). To make matters worse, they still required me to check out by 11am (no late check out!) after the first night, and couldn't assure me I could check in to my NEW room (same kind of room, but 2 doors down) until 4pm. They did put a rush and I was able to get into a by around 1pm, but still, it was such a hassle to pack everything AND get charged an extra $380 or so -- with a REFUSAL to credit me back a penny and no apology. I'm sucking it up because I'm a non-adversarial person, but I will never go back, and it makes me disgusted by the chatbots and how it seems to take away customer service. And also, I know if I would've made a scene, I would've gotten a discount, but it's not worth my adrenalin. It leaves a bitter taste.
