Beware this doubletree will give your room away!

We tried to get early check in staff said not available yet. They said we can do early precheckin so we paid now all we do is get key when the room is ready. We understood so we went on our day spending it at the fair. We arrive back at hotel 10:15pm ready to get our room. NOPE all rooms have been taken, they gave our room away! We had to go to the “sister hotel” Hampton inn took us another 30mins to check in. So inconvenient we were lied too we paid enough for the room we wanted amenities nice pool, now we had to drive 6mins away another hotel. No parking didn’t settle in until 12:30AM. Long day at the fair now no room promised smh Hampton inn was cheaper than doubletree so we were screwed on paying $ and not even staying There.

I like that my dog was able to be in the pool area. I did not like that when i did the check in I asked for a roll away bad and the lady at the check in did not explain in what room I could be able to get one, I fell discriminated for been hispanic they did not take the time to tell me where the pool was and breakfast, also when I made the reservation it said I had free parking but still I got charged.

The hotel looked nice from the lobby and pool area. Once you get upstairs to the room areas it was old outdated chairs near elevators were old and stained. The bathroom had paint chips and rust on the light fixtures. Finally, there were bed bugs my husband had bites on his body. The pool area was nice and the staff was nice but as far as room. Housekeeping didn’t clean properly.

Good Hotel that Can Be Better

The lobby is amazing and super renovated. However, the carpet and the bathroom and the room itself is outdated. Clean but definitely looks like it hasn’t been renovated recently. Huge TV but my biggest complaint was the pool. Lots of kids running around, the pool and hot tub was FILTHY, no towels, and trash left all over the place. Definitely more catered to family-trips instead of a couples getaway. Wouldn’t stay here again but it was a pleasant experience for what it was. The area it is located is very quiet and feels safe. Taco Bell walking distance but not much else. About 5 minute drive down to the beach

We came super late after our flight exhausted had to wait for awhile till the system started working to take us to our room. We were already checked in. Never restock their toilet paper. We were living off nothing by the end.

Amazing 1-night stay

Our stay was wonderful at this hotel. Check-in was easy, the staff were all so friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, the fitness center was clean, and the pool was a hit with the kids. The location was perfect for a hike in Solana Beach, exploration of UCSD, and dinner at Del Mar. The whole family enjoyed it!
