The carpet in our room was wore thin at the sliding glass door as well as the sliding glass door to our balcony was difficult to open, as if it had fallen off runner. The fireplace is not work. We did call about the fireplace and it was fixed very quickly. Overall I would stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free cookies and salmon chowder every night. The view can’t be beat.

Wonderful experience

I was extremely pleased with our stay. Aaron, at the front desk, was very helpful and friendly. Easy parking. Every room looks out at the beach. The double king room was large and comfortable. The fire pits were going on the patio. There were several amenities in the lobby but we only were there for breakfast. Would love to visit again.

Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites has become our go-to place for staying on the coast (they're more affordable than Hallmark). One of the things I really like about EOS is that all their rooms are pet friendly. Also this time I was able to use their pool and spa, and both were very clean and good temps. The outdoor sitting area with little fires going will probably feel better in the summer--a little too cold still in May. But it looks nice, and would be a fun place to hang out with friends/family. Things they can work on: the cable TV guide did not match the channels, there needs to be a channel guide. And for the complimentary breakfast... please get a toaster! They're like $30 bucks at Walmart. A defrosted bagel heated in a microwave does not cut it. That whole breakfast thing can be much better. But it's just a suggestion. The staff is very friendly, and while it's a bit of a walk, it's pretty easy to get down to the beach. I would definitely recommend staying at EOS.

Had a great stay with my family! The oceanfront view from our room was incredible and the fireplace was a cozy touch. Pool area could definitely use an upgrade but the friendly staff, many included snacks/meals and bottled water make this an excellent choice. Loved that we could walk to the beach, park and local restaurants. Overall very happy with our stay! We’ll definitely be back!

When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We got to our second floor room and loved the beautiful view of the Ocean. However I recognized the need for some maintenance fairly quickly. The first thing was trying to open the glass door to the balcony which was extremely difficult especially for my wife. The door needs new rollers as well as the whole door handle was rusted so the it doesn’t lock at all. It’s just stuck rusted and the outside handle paint was all corroded off. I understand the Salt Water destroys this hardware but if it is maintained and sprayed with lubricants than it will last a while and the amount this hotel earns, you would think they could easily afford the extra maintenance. Also the balcony just has a couple pieces of plywood lightly painted which feels a little rough and concern for splinters for sure. This should be finished with either a heavier coat or even a heavy sand grit paint. Also there was a board at the ceiling on the top of our balcony that was splitting away from the wall. It made it appear that the structure is starting to sag as it was separated on both sides of the balcony. The balcony is the main attraction of these suites and I believe they should be better maintained and more presentable.

This was my first stay at the Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites in Newport. I usually stay in the Nye Beach area but this was an impulse trip and vacancy was tight and I'd read good things about this ocean-front hotel so decided to try it. Overall, it's a very nice place. The desk staff are very, very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are clean. There is a crockpot of tasty salmon chowder in the lobby for guests at 5 pm each day and fresh cookies at 7 pm. Breakfast was mostly packaged items, yogurt, and oranges, okay, but nothing special. But I won't be returning because of the beds and room configuration. My husband and I reserved a room with two kings because that was all that was available. Two kings take up quite a bit of space. We couldn't believe how high the beds are! I've traveled a lot in North America and Europe and I have never encountered beds so high that they required gymnastic manuevers to access. We are fairly fit and agile and average height (I'm about 5'3" so not very tall) in our late 70s and we were definitely not comfortable with beds that were almost on a level with my waist. When we checked out, I asked the friendly desk attendant about the beds and he said when they remodeled, they replaced all the queens with kings (?) and they used those high pedestals. (I would be very interested why.) He said they had stepstools for guests who wanted them, but honestly, I don't think I should require a stool to get into my bed.

Older hotel but right on the beach and all rooms face the ocean with balcony. Smoked salmon chowder every night with warm cookies provided by hotel staff. Warmed pool & jacuzzi. Walking distance to downtown and shopping. What more can you ask for. As an older widow I felt very secure with locked entrances and staff are all friendly and very helpful. My go to stay in Newport.
