We were on the first floor, window was almost non existent and air conditioning could not keep up. Location of hotel was great and bell staff was great but there was construction right next to the hotel so that didn’t help either! Check to see where your room is! Felt like we were is a box!!

1st time at hotel even tho booked a room with balcony.ended up on 1st floor with no window. It was like sleeping in a box. When asked if i could change rooms they said no even tho they we not fully booked. 3 nites @ 1,200 usd to sleep in a box.

The hotel is in a great location — close to shops, restaurants, the subway, Central Park, and Times Square — but the room itself was a real disappointment. Our room had one narrow window facing a brick wall just a few feet away, so there was no natural light at all. An old air conditioner sat in the bottom of the window and made loud noises every few minutes, which made it hard to relax. I asked the concierge if we could move to another room. He checked his computer and gave a long, vague answer that didn’t make much sense — I guess it was a no. I would’ve paid more for a better room if that option had been offered, but it wasn’t. Thankfully, we were only there for two nights, but it felt like staying in a storage closet. The funky design just made it more irritating. This was easily the worst room I’ve ever stayed in while visiting New York. I had no idea rooms like this even existed in highly rated hotels. Next time, I’ll do a lot more research before booking.

They announce a breakfast. It is just a pastry without any choice, coffee and cereal for kids. They run out of Splenda the first day and the did not realize. The room was confortable but tiny. No blanket in the room.

Good value. No pool, view , or breakfast, but a great location for the theater district , museums and Central Park. Rooms are quiet and dark , with comfortable, firm king size mattresses. Best I've ever slept in the theater district. There is a 2nd floor lounge with water, pastries and very good coffee for coming from a machine. The staff are wonderful. Pleasant and helpful. We plan to stay here again. There is a parking garage literally next door. (The guy that was the inspiration for Seinfeld's "Soup N...) is on the other side ). Subway stations are very close as well.

There was no plug at the desk so made it hard to work at the desk. The curtains and carpet were not clean. The bed a, sheets and towels were clean. It was more of the things that can’t be cleaned on a daily basis

Room was decent, very small, clean, nice decor but no bath towels. While the front desk was attended when I arrived at 3am ? No one answered at the front desk when I called before arrival to answer questions Any why was I charged a service fee when I arrived at 3am and left at 9am when there were no towels and bad service

The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, which is appreciated. However, the rooms (except for the Junior Suite) have windows facing a wall, making it impossible to tell whether it’s day or night. Breakfast is served in a very small room and consists mainly of sweet pastries, with the occasional apple. There’s only one table available, so it’s far from a comfortable breakfast experience. The highlight of the hotel is its excellent location.

This was my 5th stay at this property. Staff is alway pleasant and super helpful. The room is clean and I feel safe. I complained in my last review about the steps in the front of the property. The first step is not at the proper height and I fell on the step. Still having problems with my knee. Attention should be given to this detail. Thanks

Super close to the Ed Sullivan Theater with easy access to the theater district. The desk staff is amazing and accommodating. Would stay here again for my visits to NYC.
