The hotel was relatively quiet for a weekend evening. The staff were all very friendly, but no one seemed to be monitoring the breakfast room. Most of the food was gone and there was no coffee, including in the lobby. Plenty of bars nearby, but not many places for a solo traveler to get a meal.

i struggled with what they could have done. there was no, zero, toilet paper in the bathroom on the first floor hallway near the pool. i told i believe the manager there and she said someone starts in 5 minutes and will do the bathrooms. what? and couldn't the night time staff check toilet paper, etc? there was popcorn on the lobby floor one evening(caused from our group) and the next morning it wasn't vacuumed. night time staff could vacuum? front desk people are very kind and helpful. our room was clean, no problems there.

We loved the lodge look. All the wood and the fisherman and fish lights along the halls were nice. Definitely not a cookie cutter hotel. Our room had blinds rather curtains. It made the room look so much better and BIGGER cause they didn't have those "always too big for the window" curtains taking up all the room.

Room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the cabin themed design. Pool was clean and unique because you could swim through from the indoor to the outdoor pool. Our room was the perfect temperature and it was quiet despite it being a holiday weekend

Good value--close to stuff

Booked this last minute as we were traveling through. This is a good value for the money hotel. Clean, quiet. What we liked: this is situated right on the river with a walking path just west of the hotel. We sat out there and watched the sunset over Rock Island. The hotel is a few blocks from downtown taverns and restaurants--pretty convenient. If the John Deere exhibit hall had been open while we were there, that would have been an added bonus.

Noisy rooms, could hear the person above us walking (stomping) around. We asked, and were moved to another room, but it had the same problem, just with slightly quieter people. The door arrangement is poor. People knocking out the door next to ours sounded like they were knocking on our door. When checking in we were not briefed on the time for breakfast and missed it in the morning. The shower head was good. There is no in-room safe to lock valuables. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The cooling/heating unit was very noisy. The staff responded right away to our request to move due to room noise.
