While the location was supreme and the breakfast was a nice touch, our room was so filthy and common areas so neglected that we probably won’t return. The hotel has the potential to be great. Our suite was nicely laid out, but the “river view” was around a corner and the windows were so dirty we couldn’t see outside. The floors were grimy, surfaces caked in dust and debris with Sheetrock damage and stained linens, stains on walls and splashes on the bed, walls and countertops. The sofa was threadbare and stained. It felt too dirty to sit on it. The concierge was very nice and staff was friendly, but housekeeping completely ruined the experience for us. The walls were thin and heavy footfalls from above and a noisy hallway (even at the very end) kept me awake. Location is 5 star but insulation is bad and outside music and traffic were loud. I hope management gets it together. This seems like it used to be really nice and it’s just been neglected.

The lady serving breakfast was probably having a bad day, seemed annoyed. We didn’t get the room I booked- bed or view. Hall had fans running looked like some pipes had leaked.hallway was hot. Found an empty bag of Cheetos behind the nightstand (not mine) clock was not set to correct time (time change Sunday and we were there Thursday.

The staff was very willing to help us with all our unexpected needs. bandaids and neosporium for an unexpected cut. Directions for late night dining after Angels on the Bluffs. Topped off with a great breakfast (need more bacon) for our morning send off.

The room assigned to us was open by way of the chainlock sticking through the door to hold it open. Like the housekeeper hadn’t finished and was going to return. The room appeared not to be quite finished. We went back to the desk and got a different room with the same result. Very strange.

This is a great hotel overlooking the Mississippi. The hotel was a good value for the money (although I dislike their hidden “resort fee” - just tell me what the whole price is up front). The breakfast was nice and the view was fun. I’d stay here again.

Our room looked to be clean, but there was long dark hair all over the vanity area floor. I don’t believe it was swept or vacuumed since the last guest. I also found the same hairs in the bed, which led me to believe the sheets/ pillow cases weren’t changed either.

The room was nice as far as size. The room wasn’t extremely clean. There was a soda cap in the floor when we checked in. We also didn’t get any type of housekeeping services while there for three nights. We had to get clean towels and wash cloths from the front each night. We have stayed here before a couple of times, and it seems like the owners do not put a lot back in to the hotel for upkeep. Many things such as flooring, trim, and paint are in need of repair. The staff in the breakfast area are extremely friendly. The front desk hostess is also nice. I would stay there again for the hotel’s convenience to the downtown area.
