The overall stay was good but what I didn't like was how after we paid in full for our room prior to going we got a list of rules. I nearly freaked out becajse it was not a friendly email at all. I really wanted a refund.

The place looked decent at first look but upon further inspection the curtains in the front room window didnt cover the window so people could see in. We had to put up a sheet. The front desk said they would send up someone, they never came. THEN there was bedbugs.

The air conditioner did not work in the first room we were in, so we had to pack the car back up to drive to the registration office. We were given a new room and the new keys did not work, so we had to once again load up and drive to another building for a new key.

When I got to the Sand Dunes Resort to check in went to my suite and it was dirty towels on the floor on the sink so I immediately went back to the front desk to tell them. I then spoken with the Crystal the manager that was on duty she accommodated me with free passes to the game room and the mini golf course on the property she then showed me some more rooms because they didn't have no more suites available she told me that she'll give me the room for the night and she will move me into a suite the next day. The suite she moved me into was beautiful I still had a view of the beach and I also can see my kids swimming in the pool from the balcony

Morning staff was amazing and addressed all of my issues. Night shift was disrespectful and didn’t care. My room was filthy upon arrival however dayshift had my room cleaned thoroughly by the time we returned.

Property was more for families. Lots of pools and cute water park for kids of younger ages. A couple decent restaurants on property as well as ice cream and pizza. Room was basic. You need to bring all beach supplies as they barely supply a towel. Salt and lime restaurant was amazing. Staff was ok, the bartender and waitress in the main dining cafe were super sweet, the people at checkin were basically blah. Property needs updating. There are stores and other restaurants within walking distance. This hotel is far from strip, keep that in mind. More of the timeshare/condo area. On last day we had 3 cockroaches crawl out from behind TV. I know it's the south but eww. I did notify front desk and they also said eww but not sure they will do anything. Overall a decent trip for a quick 3 night getaway to the beach at a reasonable price. Would try somewhere else next time.
