Not cleaned very well... Floors were filthy.

The floor was absolutely filthy. If they're vacuuming it, their vacuum doesn't work very well. The carpet either needs to be replaced or steam cleaned, badly. If you walk around in bare feet for just 5 minutes, your feet will be very soiled.

Pros: - We arrived late at night and the gentleman at front desk was very nice given the hour. -This is an older hotel that has not been updated an ounce… with that said, it was very clean. Cons: - As I said, we arrived late after a long day. We are also in the middle of a heatwave. The AC was completely turned off when we got in the room. The room didn’t get cool until about 4am. The AC needs maintenance. It knocked and “squealed” all night long and did not cool the room efficiently. Regular checks on these things could prevent this. - There was nothing to sit on in the room other than your bed. There was a dining chair but the cushion was so concave it looked like you’d fall through if you had a seat. This place could be charming if the owners would put a little love into it.

Room was clean and well stocked with towels. Had a minifridge and coffee maker. Coffee in office available 24/7. Bathroom fixtures looked brand new. Pool area well kept. Rooms could use a microwave.

This hotel is absolutely nothing like the picture. Breakfast was ridiculous. Ran out of everything. Warm milk. Apple juice watered down. No waffle barrer left an hour before the end of breakfast time. No one cleaning up or emptying garbage. In the lobby all the furniture had old fashioned covers on them. The only thing they have going for them is the pool.

The room had worn out furniture that either needed to be replaced or thrown away and the bed pillows need to be replaced. Service level cleaned, yet some attention is needed for a ceiling to floor cleaning.

The reception area and breakfast area were very clean. The breakfast was nice and had more selections than some hotels. The room was clean. There are definitely updates needed The ice machine at the pool did not work. There was no other way to get ice. The grounds were clean. We were on the first floor. It was very annoying to wake up to a carpet cleaning machine before 7:00 a.m. on the morning of our stay.

The room was mostly clean. The bed was clean and the bathroom was clean. The carpet was spotted, old and disgusting. The upholstered chairs had spots on them. The breakfast was ok at best.

This is our second stay at this facility. This like the first is a great place to stop for a night after a long drive. The breakfast was good especially the waffles. The only problems were the hot water was not enough ton the bathroom sink. It was great in the shower. Also no De-caf coffee for breakfast. Other than that we will return.

I booked this property due to its 5 star rating and the fact that I thought it was in or very near Mt Airy. It was not near the town nor was it a 5 star property. It was an "okay" property, but not worth $150/night.
