DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I have never left a bad review at a Hampton Inn before (and we travel A LOT) but this Hampton Inn was the dirtiest and most outdated that I’ve ever stayed in. Honestly, I read the reviews before deciding to stay here, and I wonder if they made their employees go on here to give a good review. It’s not at all what I expected by reading those reviews. We had to switch rooms right when we got there because there were so many lady bugs and stink bugs in the room. The room was very dirty and very outdated. The lady at the front desk was extremely sweet, helpful and accommodating to allow us to switch rooms. We appreciated that. If we didn’t check into the hotel so late we would have just left. The room we moved too was better, it was a little more clean with no stink bugs or lady bugs inside the room, but there were still stink bugs in the hallway. I realize nature will find a way in if they want in but an inspection should always be done in every room before assigning the room at check in. Not many people want bugs flying at your face when you just want to sleep! If flying bugs aren’t an issue for you or if you don’t mind things dirty, by all means give it a try. It was a very safe area and that means a lot. We love the HH Honors - Hilton Family of Hotels and will continue staying with them but they need to take a serious look at the one in Wetumpka, Alabama, it is NOT up to the Hilton standard!
