Great place for a family on a budget

We got away for the weekend with the family and decided to stay here. Check in was easy, staff was friendly at check in. The room was clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. For breakfast we had biscuits and gravy and the grandkids had waffles. Check out was quick. We would stay here again.

Skip this one

It was okay. I’ll pay the extra money to go somewhere else next time. The rooms were not great. You could tell the headboards weren’t cleaned, dirt around the bathtub floor, one broken shade. I saw two other cars the whole time I was there (4 days) so that is a good indicator that this wasn’t worth it. They did stock the towels & take out the trash daily. But other than that, I’d skip it. Not clean enough.

The environment was sketchy. People hanging out. There was a guy cussing outside and clearly talking to himself and anyone that passed by. Five to six Men sitting outside with talking loud and blocking the walkway from midday to late evening. Bathroom were nasty and had mold growing. I was very unhappy.

I did an early luggage drop off. I spoke to the guy at the front desk and he said to leave my luggage in the lobby and he would put it behind the front desk. When I came back six hours later to check in to my hotel room, my luggage was still sitting in the hotel lobby unattended. There was a different guy at the front desk and he said nobody told him anything about the luggage. When we got into the room, the floor was wet. The room was so humid that you could feel the bedding was moist. Although we stayed in a room downstairs, we noticed that the elevator was not working. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

Pier fishing trip

A pier fishing trip at Navarre Beach Pier. Weather was great, fishing was great, and the Baymont Hotel was great. Rooms were clean, well maintained, shower had great water pressure, and the bed was super comfortable. We have stayed at 4 hotels in the area and the Baymont was by far the best yet.

Don’t..

First off I did the online check in, which was apparently a waste of time. As i approached the coin and told the man I had a reservation, he once again asked for my ID. Then he asked how I would be paying (which I had already paid online). I told him I paid for the room already, but there was apparently a $100.00 security deposit. I wouldn’t care had i known, but this was totally sprung on me. I gave him my debit card and asked where the workout center they had advertised was. He told me “no no we don’t have that,there’s a bike and treadmill, but they don’t work well. I got my key and went upstairs to the room. The key did not work at the room at first. It took 5mins to finally get in. The room was old,outdated and damaged. The tv was stuck on CNN,seemed like nothing seemed to work. I only had an overnight stay thankfully. Only high point was I got my deposit back at 11:30am the next day. The place is a straight dump,and they use misleading ads to deceive people

The room itself really needed cleaning. We even found a clothing article in the room. The room stunk so we bought a candle and used the ac to blow air on the scented candle since we couldn't light the candle. The water came out brown the first evening and next morning. Trash all around the property on the ground. For the price, i guess the condition is expected

We have stayed at this Baymont Mary Ester hotel many times and it is always very clean and very safe. It is family operated and most certainly a best value in the fort Walton, Destin and Navarre area. Breakfast bar is very basic but Sufficient. We hope to utilize the hotel again.
