It was very close to everything. Hotel was nice but a few things I didnt like or care for. The beds was horrible, breakfast was crappy. Scrambled eggs was so runny, ham was cold, orange juice tasted like water. The place they had for breakfast was weird. It was located above the lobby but you had to use the outside stairs or a walk way from the 3rd floor on the outside of the building. It felt like I was walking the plank. No way to get their from the inside. When it rains you get wet. Other than that it was nice. House keeper was great.

Staff was kinda not friendly. When asked if I could cancel a night was told no because it wasn’t within the 24 hour period. It was 23 exactly hours but felt it could have been changed. I get policy but it was 23 hours. Paperwork in room said it had vending machines and what I didn’t need go to lobby. When I went to lobby I was directed by staff to go across the street to the convenience store. So info on room paperwork needs to be updated to reflect that.

Location is great. Very clean. Breakfast was good. I did not like how much the price was fluctuating from one day @ $95 for a standard room to the very next week day @$249. So I had to switch hotels cuz the price gouge was so ridiculous. Then the very next day which was still the middle of the week it dropped back down to $112. Very frustrating. Also the front desk women were not warm or friendly. I was here about 1:00 pm and even though they had plenty of rooms available they told me I could not check in until 4:00. So I have mixed feelings.

Best Western is nothing if not consistent. Room, bed, pillows, towels, etc. were standard Best Western fare (which is why I prefer Best Western when I travel). The room was large, clean and comfortable. It was right on the lake and I was able to walk on the beach for some much needed exercise after my long drive. The property is within walking distance of many, many local restaurants and shops. The hotel was full of a girl scout convention of sorts and you wouldn't have known unless you visited the pool. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was good and hot with something for everyone. The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating.

We spent one night there and wanted to extend our stay for another night. The receptionist confirmed nobody booked the room after us, so it would be perfect. Except that she wanted us to spend twice as much than we spent already. Let's say we paid $200 or so for one night, she gave us a price- $400 for the extra night. We could not believe it! So you'd rather have noone than offering us the same or close to the same price. The room was not up-to-date, but clean. Although the whirlpool was extremely loud, and the toilet flushed poorly, we were somewhere satisfied with the location.

The room tv didn’t work. The jetted tub didn’t work. The breakfast was ok but inconvenient spot on the property. When management was alerted of problem nothing was done. I contacted Best Western corporate office and got little satisfaction. I was only offered $20 credit on rewards program.
