2nd time at this resort. Its in a great location. Lovely free breakfast and pool area. The inside is looking a little tired and could probably do with an update. Staff are lovely though and I probably would return.

We attended a wedding at the hotel from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and inviting. The grounds provided plenty of seating areas for sitting quietly or with family. Our grandson loved the children's club an unexpected bonus. Latitudes was a great place for lunch as was marketplace for coffee. Our room was excellently appointed. Loved that we could walk into town and avoid the traffic. Overall just a great place to stay.

Beautiful resort (parking challenges)

Overall, the Nonantum Resort is excellent, with attentive staff, clean rooms, complimentary buffet breakfast, poolside restaurant (lunch/dinner), local entertainment, van shuttle, riverside property grounds (great for families/children) and resort location (about a mile away from town). The only downside is fairly limited vehicle parking when the hotel is sold-out. Some overflow parking ends up on the grass right in front of first floor rooms on the parking lot side of the Portside building. Unfortunately, for me and others assigned to one of the 3 or 4 first floor rooms, there was/is absolutely no privacy with cars in/out and guests walking on the grass in the front of the rooms. To have any privacy, the (screenless) sliding door curtains and the top/down window blinds need to be drawn which creates a totally dark room. Anyone assigned a first floor room along the Portside parking lot should be offered some kind of discount/allowance as the location is not ideal. (No other first floor rooms in the Portside building have this privacy issue with cars/guest traffic throughout the day/night). (A privacy improvement: Install bottom/up shades on the side-sliding window so guests can have privacy, light in the room, and enjoy fresh air vs. having A/C on.)

Staff are friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the dining options are great. The rooms are old and outdated. Very loud plumbing. Had to change rooms. In both rooms I could hear the people above me walking and shutting doors. Thin walls. Furniture was old. Could barely open the dresser drawer.

Like being in a New England movie

If you’re looking for a luxury hotel this isn’t it. However, if you’re looking for Northeast vibes, this hotel is lovely. It’s a bit run down and could use some updates, but it only adds to the ambiance. The resort has a lot of lawn space which is great for kids but also we didn’t travel with kids and didn’t feel as though they were everywhere. There’s lots of space for everyone without feeling like you’re on top of each other. Plenty of staff around for everything and the included breakfast was fantastic. Like a regular restaurant buffet, not a hotel fake breakfast. Like real food and servers getting you drinks. I really love this place and will be back. There are water stations to fill water bottles and they also leave bottled water in room. Everything’s clean and comfortable. Ask for a ground level room so you can walk right out to the lawn from your patio.

Excellent summer family hotel

Great family hotel with excellent activities and crafts for the kids. They loved the crabbing. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Overall it is a very nice property that is well maintained and of the five hotels on our trip it is the one the kids most want to visit again.

Lovely inn, great for kids with lots of activities. Breakfast buffet is delicious and staff are very friendly and kind. Our first room was lovely but we had noisy neighbors above (lots of heavy footfalls and jumping) and front desk solved the issue by finding us another room - they were very kind and accommodating. Lovely location and grounds.
