Very good location. As is their philosophy, it is a minimalist approach to lodging-- adequate but no frills. Staff was very responsive to a slight issue with the telephone. A terrific deal for the price!

I wish they had bars of soap, the dispensers barely give you anything even when you push hard on them. It was a lovely room and quiet, good coffee, yummy fruit and yogurt for breakfast, very inexpensive, big bang for your buck!

I was in town for a class and spent most of the day working. The room at red roof was clean and comfortable. There was always a staff person at the front desk , most of them were friendly. Of the four staff members I spoke directly to only one was rude. In the morning checking out, was there a rude person who did not seem to want to put any effort into answering my questions. The others were happy to help. The lobby needs repairs to the walls. The room itself was exactly as expected and cleaned regularly.

Checking in was easy, and actually was allowed to check in early at no charge. The room showed signs of a recent remodeling, with buckeling floor boards. As far as the rest of the room, no issues. Breakfast was minimal with only cereal and questionable milk, yogurt and bread. All in all, its a budget hotel, go out for breakfast.
