A DAY IN THE LIFE AT LAKESIDE RETREAT
Start your day with a cup of coffee from one of the coffee makers, then head out to the pool for a swim. Enjoy breakfast at the outdoor kitchen, perhaps with a swim-up bar cocktail in hand. Spend the afternoon on the deck of the boat dock or head to the lake for some relaxation. As the sun sets, gather around the gas fire pit to unwind with loved ones. The day wraps up with stargazing on the dock or enjoying a movie in the living room.

Guests will be able to access the entire property including the two story boat dock.

The Neighborhood:

Guests will need a vehicle to get to and from the property and to surrounding attractions.

Other Things to Note:
In lieu of a security deposit we require a $75 damage waiver fee through Safely that covers guests up to $5000 in damages to the property.

As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we insure the property against guest-caused, accidental damage with the Safely Protection Policy. The cost of this protection has been included in a Fee on your reservation.

The Safely Protection Policy covers the cost of repairing damage to the property up to $5K for content and dwelling combined.

The fee for this protection is refundable if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible, minimum claim amount, or cost of repair in excess of the coverage limits will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Hill Country Stays will process the payment using the form of payment on file for Guest.

NO PETS ALLOWED! If evidence of pets are found, an automatic fee of $500 is charged to the card on file.

2025 memorial weekend

Beautiful home, pools and fishing deck. Had issues with the refrigerators and bbq grill but we made it work with our ice chests and bought a grill. Will definitely be back.

Exquisite Outdoor Living

We loved the outdoors -- both pools, grill area, multiple seating areas on various levels, and an amazing 2-story dock. The outdoor environment, alone, would have merited a full 5 stars! Inside the kitchen was well-equipped, lots of good seating areas, and great bedroom accommodations. Here are the few, minor areas of improvement: shower in master has two directions -- either full on hot or full on cold. Both were extreme and need addressing. Entry code upon arrival (on time, not early) did not work. Took some time to get the proper code to us. Master BR tv is "ready" for your own devices to plug in -- no cable, so it was worthless to us. It took multiple calls to understand it wasn't going to be fixed. There was no kayak/canoe as the listing mentioned, and the "bags" for corn hole were missing. Despite these issues and the higher than typical pricing, we would stay there again.

We had a blast!!!

We loved the outdoor space. Me and my niece made everyone Shirley Temples at the swim up bar. We also loved the rope swing, from the second story deck. We had 3 volleyball players with us and they enjoyed the volleyball pool net. We had 12 of us and had plenty of room. It was such a hit. We will be back.

Best place we have had a vacation!

Everything about our stay was top notch. The home is roomy and nicely decorated. Plenty of space for us in each room. Loved the pools! Plenty of seating. The outdoor cabana was lovely as well. We enjoyed sitting on the upper deck of the boat dock in the evenings as there was a cool breeze and watched all the boats pass by. We cooked out every night. The neighborhood was quiet at night. Just all around our best stay ever and we take a Texas trip every summer whether lake or beach. You will love your stay at this place!

This was a great stay! The outdoor bar area, pool, and dock are all perfect spots for big groups. The bedrooms and kitchen are huge and it fit our group of 13 great!

Fantastic Stay on Lake LBJ

The home is beautiful, right on the Colorado River section of Lake LBJ. We had 11 family members with plenty of room for all. Two pools, boat dock for waver runners, outdoor grilling area, everything you could ask for in a Lake home setup. And the Hill Country Stays team was great to work with answering all our questions. We are coming back for sure!

25th Familiversary

This property was perfect for our getaway. Plenty of room. We were able to bring our boat, the dry dock and dock were a great addition. Lots of fishing. Rented some kayaks for those brave enough to try them out. The outside bar/grill allowed for plenty of board games, and spending time outside together. We loved the outside bathroom and shower. Thank you so much for giving us someplace to create some wonderful memories.

Family stay at Kingsland

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. My husband and I stayed with our 3 kids(ages 6-11) as well as his parents, sisters and their families. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed being able to cook outside at the outdoor kitchen while watching the kids. We utilized the boat dock for our two jet skis and the kids loved the rope swing on the dock. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable house right on the lake

We stayed at Lakeside Retreat for our annual family vacation (12 adults, 1 teenager). The house was comfortable for the size of our group - plenty of seating options on the first floor for lounging and dining. The highlight of the property is the pool and dock at the lake. The double pool was absolutely fabulous. The lower pool has a volleyball net and we spent a lot of time hanging out in that space. The lower pool also has a swim up bar with seats in the water - felt like we were at a resort!! The outdoor kitchen space is great - again so much room for a large group. The dock was another great hangout spot. The upper level of the dock has a roof on it with lounge chairs so it was a great place to relax with shade. There's a swing rope off the 2nd level of the dock into the lake and everyone had a lot of fun with that. Location is great - not too busy with water craft in that part of the lake but easily accessible. We loved this property and will likely be back!

Lovely property!

Our family loved staying here! The pool complex rivals any I've ever seen: a deep pool, a lounging pool that incorporates the patio bar, and a hot tub (which the kids loved as a "bubble-tub" without the heat). The dock was great for the two jet skis and one boat we rented. The dock ladder was first class. Interior of the home was first class as well. Yes, it's a funky decorative style with all the colors, but in a fun way. Kitchen was stocked with inventory better than you could imagine. The house lacks fans in the bedrooms other than the master, but the AC was sufficient. Addition of some table fans might be nice for some users. Overall, this was a wonderful location and facility. We hope to return!
