House layout: The master bedroom (king bed) and bedroom (bunk bed with twin on top and full on the bottom) are located on the top/entry level along with both bathrooms. The downstairs finished basement has the final bedroom with a king bed.
Lake access: The house is situated on a small lake/pond, which can be accessed via a short walk down to the shore. The lake is very low in the spring (March-June), but begins to fill and is fuller in the early and mid summer (July-August). The lake gets lower during late summer and fall (September-October). The lake is typically frozen over in the winter.
The West entrance to Glacier National Park is located ~31 miles from the house. The “Crown of the Continent” is a must see while in the area. The valley offers many hiking alternatives outside of the National park, including Jewel Basin hiking area and Lone Pine State Park.
2026 Update: Glacier National Park is a popular destination for our guests. The park has announced that the timed & ticketed entry system that has been in place for the last few years will NO LONGER be in place for 2026! This means that guests will only need a traditional entry pass to enter the park. Passes can be purchased at the recreation dot gov website or at an entrance gate to the park. The park typically has various construction projects planned during the summer. Please review the park's website for details.
If you are a winter guest, AWD or 4WD vehicles are highly recommended. The county plows the neighborhood, BUT when there are back to back storms they get behind. AWD or 4WD vehicles also give you more flexibility to explore more of the surrounding areas during the winter.
