Get what you pay for

Needed a quick room after a concert. Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. It’s very dated, the ac unit was probably older than I am, but after the initial musky smell it cooled the room well. Saw a baby roach in the bathroom this morning as we were checking out.

Very nice experience at a very reasonable price. Check-in was easy, our room was clean and modern, and the A/C was already on and working great when we arrived. Quiet part of town, all around very pleasant.

When I first booked the room the website didn’t say that this room had a Microwave and Fridge so I packed my big cooler with ice, drinks and sandwich makings. Lo and behold, as soon as I opened the door to the room, there was a microwave and fridge! I didn’t need my cooler after all. A very pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable. Excellent stay!!

The lady was nice at check in and for the price the room was decent. It was clean smelled nice and no bugs that’s all I could ask for. The bed was rough. You could see the dip where it was wore down to the springs. Very uncomfortable!

Just not happy was not getting the room I reserved

The room I stayed in was excellent except for when I got there they put me in the wrong room that I had reserved I had reserved a room with a roll in shower they said it was not available wasn't very happy about that cuz I had reserved it way in advance they wasn't for sure how to fix it that except they said they can move me to another room the next day but it's just too much trouble when you're handicapped to be moving rooms but the room was clean and nice they did bring clean towels every day and change trash

secured on line "standard room". When I called to request Ist floor ( husband in crutches), she stated yes,the deluxe room is available . When I called back and stated my reservation says standard, we dont want deluxe, she never said to get 1st floor, that is deluxe. When we arrived, only then were told it was additional $ for "duluxe" which meant first floor. $10 difference was fine,but she should have been made clear on phone. She was not new ,as she was training someone.

The photos did not compare to what we saw when we opened the door to our room. The room was dated. The bed covering, carpet and drapes needed to be updated or replaced. It looked like we were in a Time Warp. The room was not dirty per se but there is only so much cleaning you can do in a room like that. Also my husband noticed some structural damage with the plaster, paint and metal beams supporting the building.

We picked this hotel because it was rated 8 out of 10. I would vote it a 3, maybe a 4. The room was so small. The bath area again, so small. A few of the electrical plugs were burned out and could not be used.
