Wonderfully kept grounds and nicely kept clean rooms . Bed was excellent and the shower was full flow and refreshing. The in room coffee provided was however un -drinkable but a Safeway with a Starbucks was a three minute drive away. All in all, a great place to stay.

Most amazing property grounds

The receptionist was knowledgeable about the area and provided us with dinner and breakfast recommendations that enhanced our vacation immensely. The room was beautiful and included a picture window, allowing us gorgeous views of the property’s gardens and of the river. We appreciated the solid wood furniture, comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful shower, glass wine glasses, window screens, fridge, and microwave. The gardens, trees, picnic areas, and patio were simply amazing! We slept with the windows open and woke with the birds. So restful, so quiet. Everything was truly perfect!

Beautiful Grounds and Views

Beautiful hotel right on the river. The grounds are amazing. There was always someone one working at cleaning or landscaping and it showed. I loved the beautiful flowers and being able to relax in a chair and observe all the windsurfers and kiteboarders on the river. My only suggestion would be a few softer pillow options. The ones provided were a bit too thick and firm for my personal preference. Hotel was neat, clean and conveniently located.

Very beautiful property right next to a much more expensive resort. Rooms are a little dated, but are very clean and utilized well. While there are not really any amenities, the view and walking trails alone make up for it greatly! Would definitely book again!

We had a riverview room with a well equipped kitchenette and full sized fridge (which was quite noisy as was the air conditioning). The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and we appreciated the binoculars and bird guide in our room to make the most of the views through the trees to the river. The gardens were colourful and well tended. Although in a convenient location for exploring the Columbia River area, the lodge is a few miles outside the town centre, be aware that street parking is chargeable in the centre of Hood River.

This place far exceeded my expectations. We had a room in the last, back left building. GREAT views! The rooms are immaculately clean. The grounds are HEAVENLY. Every inch has been cared for and nurtured. Green grass, flowers galore, even a tiny hiking trail with amazing views. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever felt. We had the best nights sleep. Nothing bad to say about this place. Would LOVE to visit again.
