Quiet

Smaller room, but clean and cozy. On main road, but very quiet. We walked down to LILO BBQ, great food and inexpensive. Walmart within walking distance too.

Owners. Fairly nice. Location. Convenient but no views of anything but a pile of rocks. Cleanliness. Fairly poor. The sheets were dirty but they did replace them. Bathroom. Works. Price. Waaaaay too expensive for what you get.

Not worth the price

Definitely a motel. Sheets smelled weird, bathroom soap smelled weird. Lots of deferred maintenance/worn out finishes. It FEELS cheap but costs $150 a night? Hmm.

What was unique was the access to the rooms and power. The room key was also the key to turn on the lights of the room. A smart way to not loose your key as it sits in a holder on the wall to make the lights run. Also a smart way to save power for the company.

We arrived early to the area and we were hoping to be able to drop our bags in our room a few hours early before the 4 PM check in. The woman at the desk told us no, they were still in the process of cleaning ALL the rooms. We thought it strange that we couldn't just check in and drop off our bags. We came back after 5 and our room was clean but worn in a few areas in the bathroom. Only decaf coffee packets in room but I walked back over to the office and the gentleman gave me regular coffee packets upon request. I didn't realize there was no creamer or sugar until the next morning. There was a loud noise outside our room much of the night, it sounded like a generator. We had stayed at this motel a few other times and it seemed quieter than this visit. Over all good for the price. We may check into staying somewhere else next time but not a deal breaker, so we may be back.

The man at the front desk was extremely rude when I requested an extra towel as there were only two towels for a room that sleeps 4 people. The woman working the front counter was kind and professional. There was no body wash or shampoo in the room and only a tiny bar of soap provided so bring your own hygiene products. The room was very clean and it is a great value for the price. This is my second stay and I will stay here again.

Check in was very easy and pleasant. The area was quiet and had no problems with anything. I did notice there was a huge greasy spot on the head board that needed to be cleaned where people must lean up to watch tv. That kind of grossed me out. The bed was comfy but the pillows were terrible. I expect that so always travel with my own. The establishment was fine for one night and I appreciated a good nights rest.

Just right

The room was basic. But it was quiet, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for what we needed, somewhere to shower and sleep after fun days of hiking and exploring the cute little Hood River. It is possible to walk to town, but not the most convenient. But the parking lot is free and large.
