I like the rustic authentic part of the hotel with its historic nature along with the room decorating the memories. The parking was awkward, and the access to great restaurants were few and in between. Overall, the bed and room was fine albeit the floor was tilted or not level. During my stay, there was loud construction outside. Parking was a bit of a task. There was a parking lot down the hill for $15 a day...not free like many hotels. Prepare yourselves for costs that you may not expect. Overall, not terrible for one person. Not recommended for a Valentine's day getaway : )

Quaint hotel located in the heart of Hood River. Walkable to many bars, restaurants. Cozy lobby you can enjoy a drink, but bar and restaurant only open breakfast and lunch, was hoping to get an evening drink. Heating system needs an update, we knew it was a older hotel but when you're staying in during winter time it was much to cold. Also no parking for guest. Street parking or the lot by the train.

Overall the hotel was charming, however the staff were not warm, it felt like I was bothering them when I needed something. For example, when I checked in, I was supposed to get a wine tasting voucher for a nearby winery and they did not give it to me. I had to come in and inquire about it later. The worst was the parking situation. The hotel does not have its own parking area and you have to find your own and pay. The hotel is cute and charming. The staff need to work on customer service skills and how to interact with the public.

I booked this room through Hotels.com and after I booked, I got an email stating they will take Sixty Dollars out for a hold until you check out. I checked in , they took out One Hundred and the room was tilted so bad, so much, it made me feel like I was going to fall. The room smelled, the carpet was stained, there was no A/C, or fan. The room was stale and very hot. I called ans asked about the A/C, clearly I could see the ceiling vent. They said they have an A/C that THEY control and they only use it in the summer. The room didn't have any amenities, no microwave, nothing. They said I could use the microwave behind the front desk. They have a lift not an elevator that slams on your extremities if not careful. I asked for a refund and the lady said no because I booked through hotels.com. I gave her the key and turned to walk away and murmured something rude under her breath. I called hotel.com and only got a robot. No option to talk to anyone or get a refund. BEWARE!!!

A historic gem in downtown

Really cool old building with lots of character. Amazing fireplace in the common area, old furniture in the rooms, and Tara was super helpful. Will definitely stay here again! Recommend the queen historic rooms.

Fun and funky hotel in the heart of Hood River

If you’re looking for a hotel that’s not your run-of-the-mill generic roadside inn then this is your place. The staff was very friendly and the location is super central to all downtown activities. The only downside was our room was VERY small, so if that matters you might want to call ahead to learn about the various rooms since they’re all different. Would definitely stay again, but would seek a different room (we were in a rooftop garden view queen).

Nice hotel, friendly staff, worth the stay.

Lovely historic hotel with super friendly staff. Big table on mezzanine that’s great for meetings or working. Perfect location to explore downtown. I definitely recommend it.
