The bathroom floor floods everytime you have a shower, apart from this, the room was fine.

Glenferrie Hotel - Hawthorn Hotels

Glenferrie Hotel

324 Burwood Road, Hawthorn - Map
"Easy access to public transport and shops."
Only had to walk out the door and you had the shops at your doorstep, the hotel restaurant served very reasonable and delicious meals. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean, however, the bathroom mirror on the back of the door was stuck on with gaffa tape which didn't look very secure or finished. This was our only complaint, we would go back to Glenferrie Hotel again, but maybe get a room on the first floor, so we didn't have to carry our bags so far.

Great customer service. Very good room and facilities. Room was at lower ground level (same level as car park) which made it feel a bit strange.....still had street view and courtyard.

District South Yarra

"Beautiful Apartments."
The District South Yarra was a great place to stay. We booked a night as we were going out for a friend's birthday at Crown, and wanted to be close to the city. The apartment was clean, and had everything we needed. We decided to cook dinner so we walked down to the 24/7 IGA which was only less than a 10 minite walk away (close to South Yarra train station). Although there was no view, as we were surrounded by buildings, there was a private balcony that allows smoking, which is a lot better than having to go all the way downstairs and outside every time. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience overall.

"Excellent location "
We booked a last minute night's stay . We needed to be close to the station to get to the tennis ! We were 2 mins away from South Yarra station and one station away from Richmond! We were also very close to the cafes and shops. The studio was spotless and didn't feel cramped at all! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would def stay again ! Also price was reasonable for this time of year!

Hawthorn is one of Melbourne’s most affluent and important suburbs. Filled with splendid buildings and plenty to do, a stay in a Hawthorn hotel will add a little class to your trip to Melbourne while being close to all the major city sights and attractions. It is just a few kilometres from the bustling Melbourne CBD.

Foreign settlers first arrived in the area in the 1830s. The name Hawthorn either comes from the shrubs or from a historic house. The area is one of the city’s best surviving places from before the rapid Gold Rush expansions. There are loads of historic buildings dotted around Hawthorn.

There are several peaceful and pretty parks and gardens in the suburb, perfect for those hours when you just want to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. They are also good for a range of spots and enjoying nature. Public BBQ facilities are great for some laid-back alfresco dining. Built in the late 19th century, the former Town Hall is an interesting piece of architecture. It has a tall clock tower and is home to a number of spaces dedicated to the arts and culture. There is a variety of religious buildings throughout the area, and you can see grand Victorian houses mixed with tiny workers’ cottages.

    Shopping and dining
