Great value for money during winter (outside of school holidays) and other busy periods like Australian Open Tennis tournament, Australian F1 Grand Prix race weekend or AFL Grand Final week, etc). Hotel staff are quick to resolve any issues where possible if you ask them. Book a room here and you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Besides my room being great value for money during winter and outside big event periods like the AFL Grand Final, the staff are friendly, genuine and professional (housekeeping staff changed my bathroom towels without asking while I was out without me asking. This was really appreciated). The thing I loved the most was being able to watch streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Kayo Sports and other TV apps in perfectly clear HD quality minus any of the usual bad issues with internet connectivity. View Melbourne hotel is probably one of the few hotels in Australia where this is possible. 5-stars for this achievement ! I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone looking for accommodation in Melbourne. It is not too far from the city centre and next to the beautiful Albert Park (home of the annual Australian Formula 1 car race). It is also next to public transport connections by tram to the city or down to bayside suburbs like St Kilda and Brighton, around a 20 minutes walk to Prahan’s Chapel Street markets, food, retail businesses and train station and less than 5 minutes walk to The Alfred Hospital. Book a room at View Melbourne hotel and you won’t be disappointed. 👍

Spacious, well laid out rooms. Comfortable bed and very good price. Bathroom door handles were loose. The walk-in shower was great but it needed more screening to stop water splashing onto the floor. Really great location

Staff were very helpful and arranged an earlier Check in for us. Parking was easy and secure. Our room was as shown on website - clean and enough space. Unfortunately, we were given a family room with shared access to next room. There was no privacy because you could hear every word and noise made in both rooms!

We had no issues with our stay everything went very smoothly. The view was beautiful, although the windows were quite dirty, which made it hard to take good photos (lol). The room was a great size, very comfortable. However, we had requested a room for three adults, and it only had one large double bed. It wasn’t a big problem for us because we were travelling with our daughter, so it worked out fine. The bathroom was a bit inconvenient: there were no bath mats, only two towels provided, and the shower screen only covered half the shower area, which caused quite a bit of water to spill onto the floor. Without a mat, it was a bit tricky to dry our feet.

2 night city stay

Had a 2 night stay on the staycation package. The room was very comfortable and had clean. Breakfast was good. Nice variety. However, we didn’t receive our free bottle of wine on arrival. When my husband complained he was given a half bottle, not impressed. We had a few issues and it seemed like the check in desk we not aware what packages you we on. One told us 1pm check out, hotels.com said 11am and when we couldn’t get in the lift as are cards we cancelled we were told 12pm check out. Also on check out the man wanted to charge for breakfast which was includes in our package. Not good customer service.

It's location close to the Alfred Hospital was the readon we booked it. However the room was quite shabby although clean except the carpet. The bathroom had no face washers or hand towels.
