City of Elberton refurbished the hotel in recent years. Excellent job! Spacious, updated and comfortable rooms. Not much to do on weekends as many businesses are closed or close early. Try Richards for a nice meal Mon-Sat
The hotel had lots of historic charm, the staff were responsive and kind, and the rooms were spacious and modern. My only complaint is that the pull out sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable—the mattress was thin and flat (unevenly so, it’s obviously old) and the springs dug into me all night. So a great place to stay as long as you’re using the regular beds, just know the sofa bed is… a challenge.
comfy bed - love the upscale boutique look - Staff was super friendly... Didn't get to eat at the restaurant - only problem I had was the TV input being off - Other than that excellent all around!
We stayed at Samuel Elbert Hotel on 5/19/25. It was one of my favorite places to ever spend the night. The rooms are beautiful, quiet and very clean. The front desk checking in and checking out were so nice and friendly. We ate at the adjoining restaurant and the food was delicious. I can’t say enough about this hotel. I will definitely stay there my next trip to Elberton. A real jewel!
Was very cute and nicley renovated. Definitely the best place to stay in town. Rooms were very comfy. Walls in rooms are thin we could hear the people next door talking clear as day and the service from the restaurant down stairs wasn't great. The food was just ok but was convenient since we were tired. Overall we would stay again if in town since its affordable and clean.
We stay here frequently as we visit our daughter in Bowman, GA, and look forward to every stay.
The beds are SO comfy, rooms are super clean.
It is a lovely boutique hotel in a small town. These rooms would be 3× the price in Atlanta.
Great stay, the bed was fantastic. Clean room. Would stay again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
When i got there, the receptionist was really nice. The transaction went really fast, but my original room was dirty. She was pleasant about the situation and promptly placed me in another room. Everything from then on went as planned.
We had an excellent stay. The property is very historic and in a great location. My only suggestion is the pull out couch. Needs a new mattress. It was very springy. However, when i asked the front reception as about it, she was able to bring me a mattress pad and a thick comfort and
